One of my good gaming memories of the PS Vita and 3DS era was playing Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and Super Smash Bros. 3DS. Two great crossover fighting games I can play on the go.

I went back and played Smash 3DS recently and really enjoyed it, not as good as the home console version but still a good time Do you like the Vita or 3DS better?

@@FranchisePlayyer I like them both equally. Though the game library of the 3DS has more games that I like compared to the PS Vita.

It took me 12 years of patiently holding myself to buy this Vita. It took me a trip to Japan last week to buy it, purchased a pre-owned right in the heart of Akihabara, it is a 2nd hand unit but no scratches and screen still great for 1000 model. An iconic trophy from Japan, memorable.

@@FranchisePlayyer Yes 👍 magical! I was really looking forward to it last week I’m like a kid who won a candy so cool. I think my psp will get a revival as well 😁 waiting for the delivery of Uncharted Golden Abyss game then boom let’s do it baby!

The Vita is my all time favourite hand held. I have had Game Boy, PSP, 3DS. But the Vita was underrated by a lot. It was a powerful handheld and I don't understand why Sony didn't put more into it.

The Vita was special, it seems like Sony gave up on the vita almost completely by 2014

I felt the Vita and Wii U were two consoles that almost didn’t exist for me. What I mean is that I knew about them very subtly especially the Wii U release which went way over my head. I remember seeing the Vita in a Best Buy once and I knew they had a second analog stick and touch controls but overall it was a complete afterthought for me at the time. I remember looking at my brother and asking “when did this come out?”. I guess because none of my friends had one so it wasn’t in conversations, I was in my last year of high school and my only gaming was 360 occasionally on the weekends very casually, like Call of Duty multiplayer mostly or I believe Skyrim was out at that time too? Most of all I think it just didn’t have a game or two that screamed console seller for me. When the PSP came out I was younger and everyone was talking about it. It had loads of games that piqued my interest. I looked through the greatest vita games and not a lot seemed like my cup of tea. Gravity Rush was one but then it was remastered for the PS4. Persona 4 golden was another that has some upgrades but I already have the game on Ps2. Im a big rockstar fan and Liberty City /Vice City Stories was the definition of console seller. I remember giving my friends dad money to buy me the games because it was rated M. If Rockstar developed let’s say a San Andreas Stories exclusive the vita would have been on my radar, thus I’d have definitely bought one. So yeah not trying to disrespect the Vita at all, it did great things and like the PSP was an amazing device I just wanted to give my perspective on why it seemed so low key. I’d love to get one now for a decent deal.

Sony unfortunately made several mistakes early on with the Vita but I think you are completely right, the vita never really had a true system seller. Like you said a “San Andreas” stories or something like that probably would have been a huge boost to sales The Wii U was the system that I didn’t really pay any attention too, I was too busy playing my ps3 and 360 at the time. Sick video as always, man. The Vita had such a strong launch lineup in my opinion. I still need to play Uncharted golden abyss, Little deviants, and Virtue tennis. Speaking of Little deviants….I managed to pick it up with Amazing Spider-Man and Super monkey ball banana splits for only $15 or $20 in total. Thanks for this video man. You make me wanna pick up my Vita again after not playing it for a few months. Gonna have to finally play Uncharted! Also, what have you been playing dude?

Believe it or not I’ve actually been playing some Fortnite with a couple of my boys lately just because it’s easy to hop on and play a couple games without having to be super invested in it 😂 What about you man what have you been playing and any new pickups?

You’re welcome man! I always look forward to your videos haha. I was lucky to get them for that much a few years ago. They were all cib, but Super monkey’s case was a little dirty and beat up (which I didn’t mind). That’s cool man haha. Fortnite is a fun pick up and play at random times. The lego skins look absolutely clean, man. Random question, is it possible to play battle royale in lego mode? I couldn’t find the option when I tried. I’ve been playing GTA Vice city definitive edition and Marvel Midnight suns. As much as I haven’t been happy with Rockstar, it seems like they cleaned up the definitive trilogy a bit. Playing them in 60 fps is nice. I just picked up something amazing a few nights ago…..I managed to find the GTA Vice city soundtrack boxset for only $10! It’s 7 cd’s with all of the radio stations from the game. I’ve never found something that sick for do little. They go for a lot these days I guess, but I’m gonna keep it haha. Have you picked anything up lately?

Vita games are so rare to find in the wild now wish I could find deals like that now but is impossible. I actually have no idea if you you can play battle royale in the Lego mode, usually my buddies and I will play “no build” which is the most fun since I suck at building lmao That’s awesome I’m playing through San Andreas right now on my switch and I think the definitive collection got a really bad reputation it seems fine to me. How are you liking Vice city so far? Woah that’s a super cool pickup where did you find the soundtrack at? As for pickups I recently bought streets of rage 4 it’s a beat em up that looked pretty fun and I also bought the raystorm HD collection for switch

@@FranchisePlayyer It is super tough to find Vita games in the wild now and if you do, they’re usually way overpriced. I saw Little big planet cib at a bookoff 2 or 3 years ago for $75. I suck at building in Fortnite most of the time too haha. That’s sick man. Being able to play the trilogy on the go like that must be nice. San Andreas is next for me after vice city. I’m playing them in order….just finished GTA 3 a week ago or so. And I’m loving Vice city man. The definitive trilogy has been hitting the spot forsure. I can’t tell you where I got it….jk man. It was on Offer up! Luckily, it was local. I drove a couple cities over after 10 pm since I couldn’t pass up on the deal. That’s sick man! I’ve never played either of them, but I’ve heard Streets of rage is a really good series. I’ll have to pick them up sometime if they’re on PS5/PS4.

I just looked up the soundtrack on eBay and it looks hella cool, enjoy it bro!

The Vita really did have an amazing launch lineup. I loved the Uncharted game and honestly really loved the Virtua Tennis 4 game. I'm not even a big sports video game fan, but that one is top-notch. Really great game. As for Little Deviants, I can't remember if I got it free through my PS Plus membership, or if I downloaded a demo or something, but I think I played that one for like 15 minutes before deleting it and moving on. lol Didn't like it. Maybe if I paid for it, I would have tried to make myself enjoy it more. ;-)
