I'm glad you liked it! That pricing rumor is definitely a misconception. The pricing of a rhinoplasty is dictated by the surgeon and their practice. There are open rhinoplasties that cost much, much more than a closed, and vise-versa.

Hi dr motykie . I think you should do a general video on if a rhinoplasty is NECESSARY to be performed under general anesthesia. I have heard of doctors before doing it when the patient is awake actually, especially when they don’t need to break the bone. When the patient just wants nose contouring, reshaping, skin contouring, making nostrils wider or smaller, tip pushed back and dorsal hump removal or shaved down. I hear all of this can actually be done while the patient is AWAKE. I have even seen some surgeries on KZread. Can you please do a video talking about this? Also what procedures can be done to change the shape of the chin? Not make it project out more or anything just change the shape? Anyway, very knowledgeable videos. Thanks and hope to see more on the topics soon!!!!

I feel you. I had a septoplasty, turbinectomy & a rhinoplasty at the same time & it was beyond uncomfortable with the packing. The upsetting thing is my nose became “botched” and I ended up with a Pollybeak deformity which another surgeon had to put in an emergency nasal implant because my nose was “caving in”. The surgeon also said I have a lot of scar tissue which isn’t surprising. I wish someday for Dr. Moytykie to fix it if plausible because it’s still not aesthetically pleasing. His work is brilliant looking.

@@Goodsonvintagetreasures Yikes! I agree with you if it was 50 years ago. The techniques back then weren’t as good although the Hollywood stars like Marilyn had good rhinoplasties. Mine was only done about 15 years ago & by a recommended surgeon. However, on the website realself, the doctor that did mine has quite a few complaints regarding his aggressive style. It’s not fair that doctors can take your money while giving you less than stellar results. Hell, I’d settle for an acceptable result at this point.

I used to be so self-conscious of my nose, and wanted a rhinoplasty so badly during my teens and early 20s, but was unable to come up with enough money (and probably wouldn't have been able to justify the expense if I had). I've become more comfortable with it as I've gotten older, and now that I'm almost 30, it doesn't really bother me anymore. I still think about having a rhinoplasty from time to time (I definitely need some breathing work done anyways), but I'm really glad I didn't get one 10-15 years ago, because I wouldn't want nearly as big of a change if I were to do it now

He actually performed 3 procedures. I initially only wanted rhinoplasty but he stated that I needed a chin so therefore I had a chin augmentation by him. But I'm actually happy with the chin augmentation he did. During the consultation he then proceeded to tell me I look tired and suggested facial fat grafting underneath my eyes to make me look less tired. I was like why the heck not....this is dr. Motykie I am in good hands...WRONG. The fat grafting went wrong. He put wayyyy too much fat underneath my left eye and left me with a fat pad. The right side looked fine but the left side was a whole fat lump that never went away even after a year so I had blepheroplasty done. The doctor that did the revision was able to take the fat out AND push it down towards my cheeks so my cheeks look more even. Dr. Motykie states he didn't put any fat in my cheeks but my cheeks never looked this full before surgery with dr Motykie. What's worse is that they were asymmetrical and the fat he injected wasnt even..I would caution people to great lengths to not get surgery done by this man. Yeah some of his before and after pics are good but the amount of money I spend on him just to need a revision from his work is senile. And With the rhinoplasty the only thing he literally did was take out the dorsal hump. Was Still unhappy with it a year after surgery but I had an alar base reduction so now it looks more symmetrically aligned with my face.
