Plasma Cutting with Patterns | Folded Steel Tree
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
In this video, I'll make a holiday tree out of 16 ga steel. I designed the tree to be easily formed by hand with simple tools. The patterns were developed with the offset of the drag tip in mind and are easy to follow with a hand torch.

Thank you to Miller Electric and Millerwelds.com for providing me with the plasma cutter and welder and PPE that I used in this video. It is very important to be safe while welding and to wear the appropriate safety gear. Always be sure to read all labels and the owner’s manual. One is uploaded and pending approval…. Hopefully see it next week!
Love seeing your content. Glad that you're getting commercial support - awesome.

Thanks! I have always had a lot of commercial offers that I have been able to ignore. Many of the names you see the other YTers spamming about (game ads, home security, hair trimmers, etc…). The opportunity came along to work with Miller and I am a huge fan of the brand so it is really a no-brainer.
I think you win the shop tools contest.
Now you need to cast two turtle doves and a partridge in a pear tree...
Just bought my 1st plasma cutter, looking forward to making some templates for it

My first thought. WTF Dankpods? But this not a dankpods video...
love the thought that went into those patterns, Posh Work 👌
Well done! 😃🤙🏻
Yepppiiiiiieeeeeee , a new video from Brian! Great as always. Whenever I get a notification, I drop everything and check it out! Thanks for making my day.

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it. I wish I could post more often…
Damn the algorithm is not kind to you lately. I get so much shit in my recommendations but quality like this will never show up without the 'all notifications' enabled. I hope this wont put you off uploading

Yeah, not sure what I am doing wrong. Maybe I don’t have “amaze-face” on my thumbnails. I’ll probably finish up a few more projects and reassess. Thanks for looking out for them though!
Very cool. I love the two part pattern that registers itself.

Thanks! Some day I might convert a CNC machine into a plasma cutter. Until then, I’ll have to make due. ;)

@@Grunblau Like you, I have to come up with innovative methods using the stuff I have. It's kinda fun.........sometimes. 🙂
Another fantastic project. Thank you for sharing, Brian!

“Welding is a lot like hot glue + sparks!”
It might make a cool lamp. Wire an LED under each branch. It could make a cool effect.

Not a bad idea!
With a TIG weld, this could come out really spiffy. I'd put a tube (same one used for regular lights) down the middle, that way one could run wires through it and put LED lights beneath the "petals"/branches.
The fact that I haven't seen this channel before is just more proof that the YT algorithm is trash.

Thanks! I have a few videos in process while they figure out how to be better. Maybe you and I should start our own platform! I know millions of people that would love to go back to KZread c. 2017
Great job! Enjoyed watching, thanks.

I know you built a CNC machine while back. By the way, that was the most beautiful CNC I have ever witnessed. I wonder if you have any plans on building a CNC plasma cutter. I would love to see that.

I have two of those (Platform CNC) fully built still. One I have set up for milling/routering. But the 2nd one, I’d like to convert to a CNC plasma. This ability was considered in the original design!
Kinda like argomy, or exactly if you’re allowed to cut out sections, very cool 👍. Happy holidays everybody 😁

Muito bonita a árvore de metal 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
That's so cool! Not just the product, but the design and the construction methods are ingenious Also unrelated, that music made me think you were about to do a comparison between your plasma cutter and a set of HD600s 😝

Thank you! Yeah, KZread song library is often difficult to find a good song that isn’t either “Underwater EDM Babies Crying” or one that is not already someone’s ‘signature’ background music. :)
好棒!
"holiday scented WD40" LOL!!
Still waiting on the Kayak video :)
@Grunblau

You and I both! KZread slowed down who they actually show my videos to… so the process of saving the $1500 or so to produce the kayak has been slow in coming. I have the full scale buck cut and all of the Okoume plywood etc… a local laser company offered to cut the pieces rather than use a CNC. I think this collaboration fell through at this point but with the shop a balmy 45°, I won’t be slinging epoxy anytime soon. I also intend to release model kits at the same time, for people that are looking for a rewarding project that hits all of the notes of satisfaction except actually paddling around in it!
Very creative. What is that, about $200 worth of steel?
@Grunblau

$60ish. But this was from the Alro extras bin. Cheaper if you bought a whole sheet, obviously…
This was secretly a This Old Tony video that you stole and narrated, wasn't it? Jokes aside, I love both your work and this was fantastic!

Sometimes you have to know when to say when… You should know, however, that I bought two colors of green paint, some white latex paint and a stiff bristled bush for simulating snow. Then I realized for flow, it would become be a two part mini series on how to paint. :)
