Latin squares

As crazy as it sounds I'm 99 percent sure we did this exact thing in my elementary school math class. It was focused on adding the numbers to the same totals across the rows but still none the less. I was always wondering why I recognized them...

What I’m trying to understand is if everything has always been planetary magic, with different names, and if the 72 names of god are all the celestial intelligences that influence us, the archangels being the closest seven to us, and if it’s as simple as that

@@anthonyryan9954 to us it is not a planetary magic, planets are juat an aid, for example i create a magic square for spiritual-development without concentrating on the planetary-hour and it wont affact the result at all by will of God, we concentrate on the will of God that directed through us, the power of the soul which are transmitted to the pen and the love of the high-spirits that intertwine with you to achieve the resutls by God's will. Second of all those are not angels it is a huge misconception within the Western world. Might be due to the misinterpretation of the Ismaili Shia who braught the knowledge to the Western World, where we use two words Angels, and spiritual Angels and those two words to the outsider are the same but to us they are different specieis. So the Angel Gabriel or Mickheal PTBWT those are not the Angles of the old or new teastment or even the holy quran these are the spiritual angels and we call them the higher-spirits,

@@anthonyryan9954 hey Anthony, i appreciate this chat with you so thanks for you time, planets assist in magic as they are intertwined with certain spirits and dimensions and certain portals but they aid but do if you dont use them your magic still works when you are in a certain level. Planets are relevant to this Milky way, imagin a planet far away from our system with humans or any spirtual physical beings, then they will use their own planetary system if existed hence, eithrer different heavenly spirits or the same but different names based on sound, vibration, letters. Images, symbols, thoughts and beliefs. All them form the meaning and the interaction of the same spirit or the same portal. Cause you have to know all of the names are linked to planets, even the characteristics of the ssme planet. For example each Westerner knows there are seven planetary angels of each day, but we have seven earthly kings that rule over the Earthly apirits on these days as well abd if we say Tuesday is mars then we know the Tuesday's king has Mars's characteristics which manifests in your aura and body if you work with him may the Divine bless him with hus love. So do you see planets though aid in creating magic but they play a major role in intertwining with spirits and creating their names. What do i mean by creating their names? Actually if we say Gabreal or let alsyid Metatorn are what we call them in Arabic Istntaq, which means taking the names out of their meaning. Imagin we have a talisman and its the number 5432 so we know the spirit that works and embodies this talisman is called hghtshbael and based on the name then will know the planet and metal and purpose and who rules over this spirit and how to intettwine with it.. So wouldn’t you agree no matter what system were using and what names we use in that system (the single vibration/intelligence that has differing titles/names depending on the region/culture), that to use a square to determine the mark is an additional and useful rite, that to go from number to word to sigil and, to draw them say them touch them see them, is not considered some how a lower practice or less deep than Sufism? That everything is different all over, and like you said, it’s all the same, it’s all the same disembodied intelligences were accessing, so who’s to say which aspects/rites of which system are more or less useful. I guess your point is that in Sufism it feels like there’s a more thorough command over the process. I see everything you do as sound, and I can see you incorporating squares into what you do. All love my friend 🙏

You will also notice that the magic square in your example is broken into 4 smaller squares, which also add to 34. The 1514 in that square is the year AD made melancholia. You have made it well more interesting now with the sigils and I am loving the connectedness of it all 😃

Magic squares are also used to create sigils based on the planetery days and hours of the planets. I use them quite often. I use the magick seals for empowering my day based on the planetery day very powerful as it draws the energy you want to you. Beautifully done video. Ever since discovering magic squares, I've been fascinated with them. Interestingly enough, my first introduction to magic squares was seeing the famous "Sator" square in the liner notes of an album many years ago and it always intrigued me then. That album was actually what got me looking into occult symbols, and the occult in general, in the first place. So yes, it was very nice to see this video from you!

Finally I understand what the number of squares means!! It corresponds to the TOL! 🤓

Good, I would also like to add: 1) Every square contains all numbers from 1 to row_size^2, 2) therefore matrix total = sum of (1...row_size^2) 3) and you would divide this by row_size to find row total. 4) The matrix order of these numbers is by trial and error to obtain correct row and col totals across the matrix. Worth mentioning as I was puzzled how the row totals were determined until I noticed why.

So when I see "The Intelligence of Saturn" and "The Spirit of Saturn", what exactly does that mean? The most I have practiced is from Israel Regardie's "The Middle Pillar", so I'm new to this art and not all that familiar with these.

The traditional method is to nevertheless stick to the correct numbers which will be laid out in a specific way. Just ignore the higher numbers.

Yo, if you wanted a more contemporary Holst, check out Per Nørgard! He is a fantastic composer of orchestral forces, and uses amazing techniques such as the Infinity series and other mathematical and hyper-resonant harmonic structures!! That, and Schoenberg are fantastic composers I think you might enjoy, alongside maybe Schnittke for that bombastic atonality!

This is a part of my esoteric education that hasn’t been explored yet. My question is this: Since the position of the numbers in the square determines the form of the sigil, how do you determine the numbers’ exact place in the square? In your Saturn square “1” is located in a different place than on the Jupiter, and so on. So clearly there is no universal starting point. I understand the numbers are balanced and each row totals the same, but I’m uncertain as to how one determines the final totaled number in the square’s row or their positions. You mentioned 34 as a total for the square based on four, but how is 34 reached? Is Agrippa the authority in this or would another source be more concise; perhaps the video you recommended? I’ve been studying the occult for years and I’m continually impressed by volume of knowledge you’ve absorbed as well as the inferences added that are unique to you. Always a pleasure, to watch. Thank you sir.

At 3:27 They remind me of the sigils in the Necronomicon...which are spirits I would NEVER dare to call upon...When going through the lesser and the greater key of solomon there is consistency with the sigils of the spirits....but those planetary sigils....nope not touching those.

I've seen magical squares with letters as a newspaper puzzle. They used a 5x5 with words reading vertically and horizontally, but no palindromes. (There is only one solution for the top row of EXCEL, using the Scrabble dictionary.)

Do you have any PDF files on diagrams and stuff you use I could print out? Or any suggestions?

So wait would the sigils in the lesser key of solomon for controlling spirits be this essentially? or are they different because one of the moon ones had a face in it.

So i was wondering, i work a lot with the Demons of the Ars Goetia. Does anyone know of a good reliable book that names all the spirits correct directions? If you know anything about the Goetia they have assigned directions, but in the book it only lists a few of they're directions in their descriptions. Any help would be much obliged

I too NEED to converse with someone about the SATOR double acrostic re: TENET. (not quite legally viewable, depending on where you are geographically, Christopher Nolan movie) I asked FF about this, but was directed here. I'm guessing he want yet seen the movie (?) SO ... Nolan is obviously aware of the Second Pentacle of Saturn as the characters, premise, names in the movie are all related. Examples: S A T O R -- lead antagonist (Kenneth Branagh) A R E P O -- Art Forger T E N E T -- Obviously O P E R A -- opening scene + R O T A S -- Freeport Company name, as run by SATOR No-one I can talk to has any idea what I'm talking about. Soooo I'm not sure if it's of importance but 34 total isnt just vertical and horizontal but the corners equal 34 [4+1+13+16] And center to and center bottom[14+15+2+3] as well as the center square [7+6+11+10] and the outer center [9+12+5+8]. Also the 4 squares with the square [4+14+9+7] [15+1+6+12] [5+11+16+2] [10+8+3+13] I thought that was cool

Could the Sator Square (and possibly sigils) be thought of as a mandala?

I don't think that going up to 16 works. It might be okay with the square of Jupiter, but with Mars, The Sun, Venus, Mercury and The Moon, it doesn't work so well. I think the numbers 1 to 9 are just repeated for them all, but my memory is hazy, as I'm just returning to Magick again. What do you think. I am presently trying to make the larger squares work, so that they relate. Please correct me if I have missed something. Thank you for the videos, they've been very helpful.

Jupiter's square is by far my favorite camea.. It is also, at least in my mind, an obvious "blind"... If you look at the Agrippa square, you see The sum 34 can be found in the rows, columns, diagonals, each of the quadrants...blah blah.. But if you simply swap place of the bottom two rows and then the two right columns it becomes panmagick.. In order to REALLY get it, for me that's not mathematically inclined, draw out the Agrippa square and the "fixed" Agrippa square beside each other and trace out the numbers: one to two, two to three etc.. somehow I doubt Agrippa wasn't aware of this... My own speculation is pending between He thinking the "real" was to powerful or that to be "worthy" one will notice it... Something like that.. On another note, thank you very much for an awesome KZread channel! I am myself an avid occult (& basically all forteana) book collector.. So you have helped me decide on what to spend my cash on several times, but there's more! I've been sort of searching for a new "hobby" for a while now and thanks to chanel's like your's I am now seriously considering creating a chanel of my own! Gotta find a niché though.. No. You just ignore numbers after 26, they're just the for spacing.

The sigil part was really interesting. But what happens if you try to make one with one of the bigger squares? Wouldn't you run out of letters before you reach the last nr?

You simply don't use all the numbers. The extra numbers are there for spacing only.

Don't the magic square only work if they're carved on a certain medium like silver, tin, gold,, virgin parchment, wood, etc? Otherwise it'll have tthe opposite of the desired effect?

The first recorded magic square is actually the Lo Shu, in China, 2800 BCE... a geomantic diagram foundational to the I Ching. Being the unique order-3 normal magic square, it is the same square as the Kamea of Saturn.

Foolish I had a quick question. I keep getting told to read “The Emerald Tablets” that it’s a good read but a lot to decipher. My question is. Which one? I’m noticing a few different Emerald Tablets books. Is it the Thoth one? Lol I’m lost.....again

The Emerald Tablet is one of the foundational texts of Hermeticism. It's very short. So short, that it appears in full on its own Wikipedia page! The different 'versions' that exist are just different commentaries on the short text. It appears in all compilations of the Corpus Hermeticum such as 'The Hermetica' and others. It was written under the pseudonym 'Hermes Trismegistus', a pseudonym used 2000 years later by (most likely) William Walker Atkinson to write the Kybalion. If you can find a nice compilation, it's worth getting!

I have read it last year. I’ve learned so much of it about the perspective the ancient civilizations had and the way they experienced the supernatural as their reality. It seems to be that there was not a seperation like we know today in our ‘ reality’ . I’m planning to read his next book The Sacred History .

So you did the 3x3, which has 9 numbers, 4x4 which has 16 numbers, I can presume you'd do the same for 5x5 with 25 numbers. But what about 6x6 You're going to have 36 numbers, but there are only 26 letters. Do 27 to 36 just not get used? How do you use the larger squares? Really hoping you can answer this. I'm stumped and you're the first person to even go beyond the 3x3 for me. Thanks

Just because there are more numbers on the grid doesn't mean you have to use them all. The numbers that are used however are placed in specific locations Google 'square of Mercury' for plenty of examples.

The lower numbers are used. The higher numbers are ignored. Just there to create space between the lower numbers. Simply :)

I found your channel a couple of days ago and i cant stop myself from watching your videos! I dont really know what or why i am doing this.. I started off listening to the Kybalion on audiobook four years ago or so and i bought a copy which I still havent finished. I got Corpus Hermeticum which i've barely opened and i bought a deck of Tarot cards which i have no idea how to use. What am i doing lol.. Assuming we're talking about the Key of Solomon presented here, and not the so-called Lesser Key of Solomon which is more geared to evoking goetic spirits, the goal is to create talismans. Talismans are, in themselves a fascinating and complexe topic un thinking of doing a video on in a couple of week's time. 🙂

@@georgigulliksen2047 It shouldn't take more than an hour. Did you download the app to a laptop? Just using a browser won't work, neither will using the mobile app...

It's notoriously difficult on mobile, but I've heard that keeping your device landscape might help. User settings > Connections > KZread
