I listened to the words of this song so many times when I was single christian girl, and seeking God's will in my life. Twenty years later, I passed this song along to my daughter as I observed her searching for God's will. It is a timeless piece and I am grateful for artists such as Michael W. Smith who help us find ways to talk to God.

Michael......you once corrected me in a concert when my friend and I shouted we love you Michael. You said it's not about me it's about God. I never forgot. And this was one of my favourite always helped me pull back my focus to our Father. Thank you for standing strong. And while it's about God, I still maintain that I love you because you are my brother. Whether I meet you this side or on the other side, know that I am am eternally grateful to God for you. Keep up the good work and run your race with joy!

I really like these 2 comments here. My memory from a concert is he prayed a blessing over everyone at end of music. My absolute favorite part as I was going through a real dark time in my life. All praise and glory to God the Father of all. He wrote a book called "A simple blessing" years later. Mom owns a copy.

It's the truth. I distinctly remember the lines in a song that said 'You're the star of the show that we came to see', ever since, I can't go to any megachurch.

A real treat to see two of my favorite artists come together to re-record this great song! What a great idea for the movie! Still inspiring over three decades later!

Takes me straight back to my college years! Love this version and all the amazing voices. What a gift God has given you all.

This song would randomly play in my head as a child in the 90s, i never knew the Lord was using your voice to call me to Himself, that i may have the light i needed to find my place in this world. I'm excited to share with you that i have found my place in this world. Thank you Micheal for finding your place, so many years have passed and you're still a blessing. So many memories with this song. ❤❤❤ We must let the all men know and see that we are like the moon that will only remain dark and gloomy without the light of the sun. The sun makes all that the moon bears visible, it gives the moon credence and meaning. The Lord Jesus Christ is that Sun, and when you get married as a woman, your husband is a representation of the sun in your life, you will submit to him as unto the Lord(the Spiritual Sun) to perfom your role as wife even as Sripture instructs. Once a man understands his role as the sun, he'll allow his wife reflect his light and they'll both be happy. What we as humans are to the Lord is what a woman is to her husband. Notice, i didn't say that it is what a woman is to a man but a wife to her own husband. In life as humans, whether male or female, we are yhesame to the LORD, but in the context of marriage, a woman is to submit to her own husband. See Eph 5:22-33 Once we understand this as christians, every home will be a safe haven and an influence to the world at large. I'm glad you read up to this point❤. Love this song. I would love to have Michael W Smith do a nostalgic world tour redoing all of these classics. I missed seeing him when I was younger and it's on my bucket list. Not the worship songs (nothing wrong with them) they have a different vibe to the concert.

Takes me back to my high school years and how meaningful this song was to me. Now that I am a senior citizen, it has a special meaning also because times have changed and it is hard sometimes to find a place in this world.

When we found Jesus we were Home, and this is your place, serving and worshipping the Almighty God! Love all the comments, very beautiful. The song as well brings me to tears and takes my back to my childhood in SoCal finding my place in the world for God to use me. Praise God He did in special ways, and still does one person at a time, each day at a time. My heart truly broke in 2016 when I lost my oldest son Nathan when he killed himself at 20. Then as I was in my lowest of lows songs like this brought me back to my creator and I praise Him for each day I have to find my place in this world serving Him as best as this broken man can.
