+JDeO1997 we see a lot less about inside his head, and so it might be harder to find, According to Pixar theory, he would be located before the human side of monsters inc, so he would likely be scarred of his monster. Russel does not really seem to stick out of having an otherwise irrational fear, but I have not watched that movie in a long time, so maybe I am forgetting something.

Well I don't know if they moved houses a lot or not, so I said the youngest two who were most likely to be born while they lived in the house we saw in the movie

you know George did have a hammer at the end of monsters inc. and the clown in Riley's subconscious had a hammer as well. So George either messed up his routine and scared Riley or George reminds her of the clown.

And, at the end of Monster’s Inc. you can see George Sanderson exiting a door bouncing a soccer ball. I know Riley’s sport of choice was hockey, but I can definitely see her as the kind of kid to have paraphernalia from different sports. Especially when she was younger and hadn’t decided what sport she wanted to play.

hello goodbye Darla is obsessed with fish and has been for over a year! What kind of kid that young would love something so boring as fish for so long? Especially if that something dies on the kid so quickly every time. The answer, a kid that was visited in the middle of the night by a fish like monster and entertained enough to make her laugh herself to sleep every night. I don't know who that is but I'm betting if she has a monster it's a fish like one.

Olivias Life Fair point. Accepting the premise of time traveling door portals, perhaps they do occasionally travel forward in time. But considering this particular theory is built on Riley having a positive time with George, to the point of inspiring a part of her imaginary friend, and the sock scene happens to George during scare floor era rather than laugh floor era, not likely for theory to work. Margarita Calderon Though I find this reason acceptable since George has been prone to this kind of thing throughout the movie, and cartoon characters seem to be prone to repeating this sort of joke.

Ekigane if you have the monsters inc dvd in the bonus videos that he mistaken one of the doors that are on the floor as the test run for his new child he scares in the scare floor. But he had to wait till then to be on floor. He was mistaken with a different door and the mom got scared instead and the father didn't believe her. She even said "Hm... I wonder where the sock of run off to? Could it be? No..." and just keep on folding. But go ahead and check it out on the "Commercial T.V" thing for bonus clips that they couldn't keep in. But too many clues just being with two movies....

I'm binge watching all videos on this channel and it's like fuel to me it's so GOOD

George cant be her monster - he worked as a scarer. When the scare floor became the laugh floor, all the monsters switched. Sully became Mikes assistant and Mike became the one going through the doors. We also see that the same switch happened with all the other monsters, including George. This means George wasn't going through the doors when Riley was alive.

+Jenifer Joseph Exactly. I think that the funniest monsters wanted to go through. I mean Sully has always been a scarer. But Mike was never really scary. Those kids at the lodge were amused by him at best. George isn't really a great scarer and he doesn't even have an assistant by the end to take his job- he's probably lost in the himalayas now or something.

+Robyn Callow I just checked,it's save to assume that George did become a comedian on the laugh floor, you can see him with a hammer and a watermelon in the ending, most probably heading for his next door it's not 100% confirmed since you don't actually see him go through a door, but seeing how bad of a scarer he was and how happy he looks with his job in that ending he's probably having fun making kids laugh, especially now that he knows that they're not hazardous

It may be less concrete, but it's one of the most straightforward and matter-of-fact theories I've seen (not just from you but in general). It totally agree, all the logic is sound and believable

Gal Brenner He verified that Toy Story and Up take place in the same universe, as well as Monsters Inc and Inside Out. Those are the only ones I know of, but there may be more.

Coming at you from 2021 and Disney+ released a now TV series, "Monsters at Work", which takes place pretty much where Monster's Inc left off. In this series (so far), amongst other things, is the development of the laugh floor and the Jokesters who will be trying to make kids laugh. I feel this theory might need to be revisited soon as it's now possible Riley's monster has not yet been revealed.

I love theses videos. Very ingenious.looking forward to more. I'm going to try and think of other people who's their monster

+iBlazeDaGamer It's a "theory" dude. Plus they're all in Disney. So you can deduce that and come up to a whole new universe. The Disney Universe Theory. And furthermore the KingdomHearts videogame (squareenix & disney) has a habit of mixing things up a bit in "different worlds". So it has potential. Anyway it's fun to let your imagination run wild every once in a while. Dont worry, It's all good.

This is a good theory. It also proves that the Pixar theory might be true. If Pete almost immediately thinks that Riley has a monster, than it might mean that he knows all of the movies are connected. Just a thought...

I completely agree with that!!! I have spent the last 12 year thinking of which monster did each Pixar kid have! Thank you for “clearing that up”!!!

Wouldn't a more accurate way to determine who Riley's monster is, is by looking at the clip of her in her room in her old house and looking at what her closet looked like and the finding the replica on the scare/laugh floor and figuring out who went through it?

I noticed that in another monsters video you point out the fact the time travel works in a way that if it is 1999 (example) in the Monsters world it will be about the 50s in our age. Riley's Monster would have to come from the future in the Monsters age. Maybe George is too old by then. Thanks for your videos!

Something I always found incredibly suspicious about Bing Bong (aside from being suspicious in general with him sneaking around long term memory "borrowing" happy memories of Riley for himself, hmmm) is how Joy does not recognize him at first but Fear IMMEDIATELY does. I always figured it was because Riley has a subconscious fear of being stuck in her childhood and too attached to it to move on into adulthood, but this adds a whole new level to it...

I think it's super possible that he's her monster and to add to your point, if Riley (at 3) didn't remember which was a rhino vs an elephant, this could be why she interpreted the horn on his face (rhino) into BingBong's trunk (elephant)

During Riley's first night in her new house a car goes by and fear panics and says "What was that? Was it bear? It's bear!" Along with that, the light from the car panning across the room goes across her closet partially cracked. I feel like it's a reference to George.
