Blue Topaz more specifically, he could have been tampering with the bills send to monsters Inc. free equipment that I used to help build the scream extractor. Mr. Waters didn’t want to admit to what he was doing, Mr. abominable yeti snowman was the only other monster in the company with any awareness of what was going on, So he vanished him to the Himalayas.

The snipe is actually a common fake thing, Carl didn't make it up. It's how dumb boy scout troops would send their friends on a wild goose chase by telling them there's a snipe. I've never seen it specified as a bird though.

Yes, they're changing the rules on us here! In the video on Riley's monster, they even made a point about how, since the movie took place after 2001, her monster would be a comedian instead of a scarer. Apparently they should have said 1955. And whoever Andy's monster is, it would also have to be a comedian by this new timeline.

Wow I am actually absolutely shocked about this, my jaw has literally dropped to see and hear all the facts just seamlessly fit so well into place! Great Job too with the calculations! 😯

If Monsters Inc. happens in human time 1985, then Randall can’t be Andy’s monster and the orange one can’t be Riley’s monster, because the timelines wouldn’t add up. I hate to poke holes in theories, but this one jumped out at me pretty hard. Also, the theories that Boo is in one of the Toy Stories wouldn’t add up either.

That's the basis for this theory--that that set time apart always remains the same, even as time progresses in the human or monster timelines, so monsters will always go back in time the same number of years. That can't be possible for Carl, Andy, and Riley simultaneously.

There's no reason for the writers to think about this. The two movies aren't canonically connected in any way. The Pixar Theory is a fan-generated story. It would be like expecting the Harry Potter movies to consider which wizards were affected by Thanos' snap.

They didn't have to add the easter egg of Andy's wallpaper on Randall's transition test screen and a Lizard Crossing sign on Andy's closet door, but they did.

@@Mr12Relic , they enjoy throwing in easter eggs, certainly, but easter eggs are not plot related. A nod to other movies they've worked on or will work on is not a story connection (for example, E.T. is in Star Wars, but those movies happened many generations and thousands of light years apart, and, while fan theorists can, and have, come up with an explanation, the intention was not to actually connect those separate movies). I'm not necessarily saying they haven't thought about random things like this, because I don't know those writers or what they think about in their spare time; I'm just saying there is no reason for them to consider all the implications of trying to connect two unrelated movies.

The Riley video was made in 2015. It was the second they did after Andy's monster. They hadn't done much research on the timeline. They just assumed the monster and human worlds were congruent with each other, and we know that Monsters Inc takes place in the Monsters version of 2001. It wasn't until they did the Boo's parents video in 2018 that they finally revised the human timeline after noticing that the posters in kids rooms were cleary 1955.

It does that why I believe they are wrong about boo's time period, especially since the pizza planet truck, which is shown during randall's "mama another gator got in the house" scene, implies somewhat of a modern time, I would say minimim of 80s-90s for boos time period

Also, Earl's scare tactic could be why Carl is so quiet. He could be afraid to talk, always on the lookout for his monster. The quiet could be an escape as well as a cage. If his monster's silent, why would Carl fill the silence? His monster could catch him off guard.

There’s a problem with this, if you remember, in monsters university, mike and sully both go to the human world, and it looks like in the human world it’s maybe the 70s or 80s, just because of how the park rangers are dressed, and there cars, so if that’s the case then I don’t know how all of this would add up

The people making the commercial probably just thought they would grab any commercially available TV found in the monster world instead of fact checking and spending more money to come up with a TV that looks like one from the human world. Which comes to an interesting Finding Nemo fact, that the Sydney Opera House is imaged by those fish talking to Dory and the Sydney Opera House wasn't opened until 1973, with work beginning in 1958 and wouldn't appear complete. So Boo has a Jessie doll, which dates back to the 50's (another hand-me-down?), but also the Nemo toy, where Nemo was the next movie in the Pixar release schedule and took place sometime after the Sydney Opera House was completed and in the dental surgery the kid is reading a Mr Incredible comic, which would be mid-late 60's, but still the Sydney Opera House wasn't finished until the 70's and everyone knows how old some waiting room comics/magazines can be (maybe it was a reissue?)... Plus there was a Buzz Lightyear toy in that very same waiting room that the kid is seen reading the Mr Incredible comic, where in Toy Story 2, Stinky Pete said kids lost interest in cowboy toys with the introduction to space toys, which Buzz Lightyear is (presumably/rumured to be) named after Buzz Aldrin and the Moon landing took place in 1969, before the SOH was completed and Boo has a Nemo toy and a Buzz Lightyear appears in the movie of a fish which is probably long since deceased... Which opens up the timeline of Toy Story possibly happening sometime in the 80's (I need to watch more of your videos if you've ever mentioned the TS timeline), because Rex and Buzz are playing a Super Nintendo (and not a PlayStation or Nintendo 64) in Toy Story 2. Pixar have broken their own timeline. 😂 EDIT: I forgot to mention that Buzz Lightyear was the cool new toy in Toy Story, which would pre-date Mr Spell (1970's) if there wasn't a cool space toy before Buzz.

The time travel concept is the same one in “The tomorrow war” with chris pratt. Neat

it makes sense he'd make a perfect monster for him. in Monster university it was introduced to know what the kid fears and who they are and what tactics to use for a grand result...and Earl whos card says "relies on a brief silence to execute roar" and carl being "not so much a tallker" he uses that as advantage to scare him which made carl jumpy at times of Ellie surprises

I miss it too. I liked that it was the very same all the way through the channel. (Seriously, I looked up the jonkerlin channel, it ends with "coming soon" and then the same scb logo we've had all along (the square version).) Next thing you know the set probably won't even be blue....
