Part 1 of the YX160 pit bike engine tear down.
The motor has a gear selecting issue and during this 3 part series we will tear the engine down and find the issue.

I’m currently replacing the piston and cam chain on my bike. just replaced the head.

The 160 is a great engine to work on, I hope the video helps. There will be a bottom end tear down in a couple of days.

Moto 28 Would love to see you pull of the stator to get to the cam chain.

Hi there, were in the UK. This is the YX160 engine and I believe it's much stronger than the Z155 unit

Power and speed are about the same, it's just a much more reliable engine in my opinion
