Piper and Phoebe were by far the most popular. Prue had fans but not as much. Paige was the least favourite unfortunately

That's actually not the case anymore. Piper is more of a polarizing character and Phoebe is now the least liked Charmed Ones nowadays. Prue tends to be the most loved with Paige coming in behind.

@KG James Prue and Paige were always my favorites even when the show first aired. Meanwhile Piper and Phoebe were always my least favorites (Phoebe moreso than Piper. I didn't start hating Piper until around Season 5 whereas I hated Phoebe in Season 3-onward because once she dated Cole she became her selfish shrew side) Paige may have her faults and could have a bit of the Piper and Phoebe poisoning at times, but it seemed Prue's side of the gene pool effected her more often due to the fact she obtained Prue's willingness to save people. While I still love the show I consider myself only an avid fan of Seasons 1-4 which were just the right amount of camp. People also blamed Paige for ruinining the show, when no Paige brought the most interesting aspects into it. If Paige never existed in Seasons 5-8 you'd never have the idea the show was about witches.. I also noticed Paige ended up being the only one who treated her male partners like equals. Richard, Brody and Henry all ended up as love interested who weren't abused and Paige genuinely helped them. She helped Richard instead of criticizing him and found support in Henry.

Back when I watched Charmed Prue was by far my favorite. I only made it a few episodes into season four, it just wasn’t the same without Shannen. Even then I didn’t dislike Paige. I liked Phoebe in the first season. For me, her down fall started in season two. When she had the audacity to question Prue about her desire to become a photographer because it was dicey money wise when she always depended on her sisters for money, and as of yet never held down a job. It still leaves a bad taste in my mouth. As for Piper, I was always pretty indifferent towards her. Though, I am very embarrassed to admit it...I too was an anti Dan. In my defense, I was like 13.

Is it crazy that I love these even though I have never watched or had any interest in watching Charmed? I guess that just speaks to how much I enjoy Allison and Phelous' work and chemistry and comedy.

I think the dramatic goblet drinking scene came from Pirates of the Caribbean 4, which featured the Fountain of Youth, which likely came out after this season of Charmed. Wow, I can't believe that Pirates of the Caribbean ripped off of Charmed!

The dramatic shot in Pirates 1 was of an apple. Barbossa carried around an apple the whole first film waiting so he could taste it once the curse was broken. This later pays off at the end of the second where he comes back and takes a bite of an apple as he says his line (showing he’s no longer cursed). The apple was actually figured out in collaboration with Geoffrey Rush...who wanted something to identify with Barbossa’s motivation that could constantly remind the audience of why he was taking the actions he was throughout the story (the film was attempting, successfully in my opinion, to distance him from the “evil” that typically surrounds the villainous pirate in a pirate movie...his crew come off as the most despicable element of the film).

The glee you two have about Cutting being lame warms my heart.

Absolutely awful. Even when they get back to the manor with old paige paige says something about wanting to rescue Brenda. Then pheobe and piper just say "oh sweetie, we lost her already... BUT we can still save you!". Old Paige even looks absolutely distraught over the news but then they just quickly go past it. So callous.

Also TBH having gay people in a thing and killing off one partner is the "bury your gays" trope (which Allison talked about in one of the Charmed remake episodes they covered, one of the early ones), which I think stems from the Hayes Code, to 'punish' the couple for being gay. So...still not progressive IMO.

I love this show with all its flaws...but I really wish that they kept Shannen Doherty on the show and fired Alyssa Milano....Phoebe is so unlikable most of the time. Also after you compared her to Thanos, I can totally picture her putting the Infinity Gauntlet on, saying "Oh well, 50% less people to care about, more time to be focused on me" and then SNAP!

Phoebe won strictly because she was attached to Cole who was a big favorite at that time. She used that. I for one wouldn’t have minded seeing him hook up with Prue after the elimination of Phoebe. Coulda been hot 🥵 😂😜👍🏾

Ya know - Fun fact; Parley isn't really a "Thing" in piracy. There isn't really a "Strict code of ethics that all pirates must follow yo-ho-ho," But there were some actually pretty interesting rules and articles that each captain had for his crew. Bartholomew Roberts, for instance, had rules about keeping your weapons cleaned and oiled, lights out by eight (if you really MUST continue drinking, do it on the deck and not down below. Only have an extra half hour,) and no gambling. Imagine how awesome that would have been. Pirates yarging and cutting up people and then being polite to one another and "It's nine o'clock, bosun! In bed with you now, sir!" or "There's a spot of rust on your blade, Mr. Samuels! Not done, sir! Three hours with rag until I can see myself in that cutlass or no attacking the Halliwells for YOU, Mr. Samuels!"

2:25 really captured Piper's essence.

There were those two guys at the Bay Mirror in that episode where Phoebe's running the paper and she points out to one of them that the other guy's hitting on him.

I'm going glad doing your rewind of the worst episodes and I'm glad we all reminded that Phoebe needs to open heart and let love in. She keeps forgetting that she is a horrible person.

I'm sorry, I just loved this episode. Pirates? Ridiculous Piper? Cold person (though shattering the glass and then freezing it, loved that) Phoebe? Seems to be interesting only when there's a guy. That's the way she is. Paige? Lovely, as usual, and as usual going to save innocents on her own, (just like Prue, did btw). Leo? The very best, especially when the children are by his side, when he is asleep. I'm sad for Brenda though. It really seemed like they didn't care.

I'll be excited for him.

Theres 4 gay people on charmed all in passing and the other pair is about phoebe being so intuitive and perceptive that she knows for a fact that her colleague who’s complaining about their other colleague is actually blind about the fact that the other colleague is interested in him like elementary kinda thing. The fact that the most important thing about the show being set in San Francisco is those stock videos to open each episode is telling. I was always shocked at how they fully abandon their innocent/witch in this episode it’s cruel and overlooked.

Omg I am so happy that this video is out! You guys always make me laugh! Thank you! I hope the next vote will be about that greasy butt crack poo flap neighbor Dan that Piper murdered. Also, the council of dicks were investigating the disappearance of James Avery elder and they thought Leo killed him. Which he did, because the Avatars told Barbas (I'm not scared anymore.... NoOoO!) that that is how he would get rid of Leo. So Barbas was essentially playing on Leo's fear of there being another Gideon causing him to kill James Avery.

Thanks for another review! This episode was so awful and hilarious in a bad way!

Those images captured the pure Piper Haterade I wonder if one will exist for Phoebe? It always baffled me how Piper and Phoebe use to be the most loved and Paige always got the most neglect, despite the fact Paige was the most tolerable sister in the second half of the show. Nowadays Phoebe tends to be the most disliked. I actually enjoyed how the show acknowledged the lesbian couple with subtlety without making commentary on it.

It was Darla (Angel's sire, played by Julie Benz). And yes, she was dying of syphilis.

i always thought this was one of the weakest episodes. ghost pirates. would have been fun if they'd added some twists to it like sheridan or brody was working for the pirates this whole time. or the pirates going with the sisters to get the chalice not trusting them to not screw it up. like the pirates felt more of a weak threat to me. the poison that killed the witch and was slowly killing paige was more of the real threat. in a setting with demons and warlocks, pirates just didn't feel like an interesting villain of the week formant even if it wasn't just a blatant ripoff of potc.

PLEASe PLEASE PLEASE REVIEW THE EPISODE WHERE PRUE BECOMES A MAN

I like to imagine that the reason they don't do these on video is because Allison has a gun on Phelan to make him about Charmed.

@@HiperPivociarz Basically since it's inception as an American city, San Francisco has had a large gay population and a more sexually open culture. A lot of notable points in American LGBT civil rights took place in SF, i.e. the election and assassination of Harvey Milk .

Id much rather see gay "representation" like this then what we get nowadays, where gay people are portrayed as super successful, pretty and wealthy. Talk about putting pressure on a group.
