Almost 2nd year sprinkler fitter apprentice. Slow for us too, back in the shop to keep me working. I applied to be a steam fitter/pipe fitter myself. Hope I get in.

Honestly I was researching heat and air conditioning. Was gonna be an hvac mechanic. The United Association popped up when I was looking online next thing I know I was in the union.

You start at half journeymen rate when you join the union. You get increases in pay for every year of your apprenticeship.

Plus depends on the contractor your working for and the project your working on. You might have deadlines to meet so overtime is always a possibility.
