    Any help plz? ... I just installed Pioneer TS-WX400DA under-seat subwoofer using speaker-level input. I took two wires from the front left speaker and two from the rear left, remote turn on the wire from the radio, and power from Battery. Working fine but the remote light wouldn't go off when I turned the radio off. The remote light turns off only when I remove the key from the ignition. I removed the remote turn-on wire still remote light remains on when the radio is off.

    Great video, your channel is very knowledgeable!! I recently bought a Suzuki Swift which came with a pioneer mvh-a200vbt head unit, do you have any idea how I find out the RCA level input for my system? For the medium or high input settings, I can’t find anything on google

    The 130DA can accept speaker level inputs, selectable by switch. So it won't matter if there are no RCA level outputs

    Question: I have a hybrid Suzuki Swift, will this speaker negatively affect the lithium battery and therefore my safety features etc or does it just connects to the lead acid battery and doesn't affect the lithium one at all?

  • @iconiccfs

    @iconiccfs

    i mean depends on how you install it. it just needs power but at a max of 160 watts it should NOT effect the lifespan of the battery if that is the case, i think you should be fine but. but if you want to be on the safe side there er 2 options 1. get it powered by the lead acid as it's mostly used for the engine iit self. and 2. use a sepret battery for the sub alone, allthougt not recammend with a smaller sub like this since more power hungry subs pull lik 800 watts so this sitting at 160 max is really not that bad at all, also you are not gonna play at the 160 watts because that is max volume and for me atleast i only go to like 80% because the music just gets to loud at that point for me atleast

    Hi from Australia I have been looking to buy this under seat Subwoofer for my 2006 saab 93 arc but the thing is I bypassed the optic as my amp under the seat is dead so I got rid of it so only my front and rear speakers work but no more door subs, so does it still work with my car without the amp as this subwoofer has to be self amplified?

  • @CycloneCyd

    Everywhere I look, people insist, USUALLY IN ALL-CAPS, you should allways run a seperate lead from your battery, with a fuse on the engine side of the firewall. You seem to be hooking it up from the fusebox inside. Is this not a hazard, since the power consumption is fairly low?

  • @CycloneCyd

    @CycloneCyd

    The power lead to the sub has it's own 10A fuse - seen at 9:38

    Thanks for your quick response. Since you seem quiet well informed on car audio, you probably know the unwritten 'rule' that a subwoofer needs a seperate power lead, directly from the battery, with a fuse within the first few inches? I was wondering why in this case this doesnt apply, or if you think this 'rule' is overkill anyways. Thanks!

    On the contrary. One should never be soldering wire connection. Vibration in the car causes solder joints to come apart. Joints should always be mechanical.
