A bit about VideoShowMeHow
--------------------------------------------------
►Where did this start?
I really enjoy tinkering with different projects - they usually require a whole bunch of research and learning along the way. It's satisfying on doing a thing and standing back and going 'Yeah! Totally did that!'. I had a bunch of mates asking 'how did you know how to do that?' and 'I couldn't never do that myself so I thought; I need to start something where I can help others that might be thinking the same thing :)
►What will you find here?
The purpose is simply to make these videos as top quality and helpful as I can. They will always be free, there's ZERO agenda and the only motive is to try and upload what I would want to watch to help with that particular project. I'm also keen to keep building this little community and will try to answer all questions when asked - fire away :)
►What's with the gloves?
Not after any KZread fame here which is why I'm not in the vids - they're not about me they're about the how-to! I used the gloves for the first couple of projects I filmed which just happened to be messy ones and it kinda just became a thing. Plus adds a little more personality I guess :)
New videos are being uploaded regularly so if there's something you'd like to see, have Questions and/or Comments drop me a line.
Cheers guys.

Fantastic video and great explanation. May I ask does the P.Cont. wire need to be connected in series or can it be connected in parallel to the ignition/car unit? Thank you.
What are the connectors on the end of the wiring covered in plastic? What type of connectors do I need coming from the stereo wiring and tap a fuze to connect them all? Thanks
The aus amazon link in the description is a different model, and the one that is the right model doesn seem to come with speaker and power cables?
Nice video, I wanted to see how you mounted it to the car as I don't want to screw mine into the floor of the car. I saw on another video a guy gluing a piece of MDF to the floor under the carpet and screwing into that... I thought maybe just cover the underside of the unit in velcro and stick to the carpet? Hi, many thanks for sharing your work! I have a factory JBL with a tiny subwoofer that does not really produce bass. The subwoofer is hidden in the floor behind passenger's seat. I am considering buying two of those SW11s and hiding below the seats in the 2nd row. Since I have no experience I would like to ask you two questions: 1. How much real gain would two provide vs one. 2. What would be the preferred way to connect them, tapping into high level wires powering back speakers or somehow connecting everything with current subwoofer?
@VideoShowMeHow

Hey there 👋 Thanks for the comment :) To answer your Q's: 2 is obviously going to give you more boom than one, should be roughly double, however, if it 'sounds' double isn't as simple, depends on placement, the car and the listener. I would recommend starting with one and go from there? Can always add another as most of the wiring will already be done. I would always prefer to connect via RCA leads (I use this method on the Pioneer install vid on the channel) or if your headunit doesn't have these then the speaker connection way like I did in the Kenwood install. Hope this helps! 👍👍

@@VideoShowMeHow Thanks for the quick reply. I actually purchased the Pioneer EA version without remote yesterday on amazon now having second thoughts that I should have got the kenwood instead; the RMS is 75w vs 50w on the Pioneer and it comes with remote for slightly less money. I do have a brand new aftermarket Sony head unit with sub settings inbuilt and RCA so I don't necessarily need the remote however. Also I just purchased 4 x Pioneer 3 way 17cm door speakers and thinking I will get the Vibe powerbox micro amp if they still don't kick hard enough off the inbuilt head unit amp... also plan to mount it in the rear where the old CD changer is currently. If the mounting plate can be modified to fit my existing screws then it should be perfect.
