Was going to do this but having watched a few sound tests of the sub none of them really show what its like in person. I might do an update at some stage but best way to describe it is it helps the standard sound system sound full but doesn’t blow you away like a bigger sub!

What about the sound test?? What did it sound like? I’ve thought about one for under my seat in the Roadster. Also in my last TT I wired in my 3 x 8” sub to the rear speakers and the base was huge.

Its definitely not going to blow you away like a proper sub, but the stock system was lacking so much that this was an improvement by a long way!

How do I run audio from head unit to amp mk3

Where did you connect the black negative cable to ? Did you connect the blue cable for switching power on and off ? If so where did you connect the blue cable ?

does the unit come with a fuse?

Hey, great video been thinking about doing this to my car, same sort of situation. Two questions, how does it sound when compared to a similar sub under the seat. And how did you secure it to the styrofoam, did you use velcro strips? Would love to know. Thanks so much

It sounds pretty good, a huge improvement over standard, although the effect would be stronger under the seat its still well worth doing. Velcro strips is correct! No issues at all so far.

Hi, what make and model is the sub woofer you fitted and are you happy with the sound improvement. Also did you have the standard audio and speakers still in place? Thanks. I have the same as you but the TDI 184

Link for the sub is in the description, and yes the rest of the audio system is standard! Its a decent improvement but a lot of people choose to improve the door speakers as well

Did you not want to drill a hole into the front for the controller? I guess this is the best solution when selling off the car. Can keep it for the next car or add value to the sale 👍

The cable would go through so i could have the controller going into the car if i wanted to, but thought this would be cleaner. Tweaked it to how I like it then left it alone 👍🏻
