@lucax I don’t think she’s using KZread to babysit her few months old baby…she said she watched the video herself with him. but yeah it’s crazy how some people set a tablet in front of their kids and call it a day!

We have some on our channel, my favorite is the smoked catfish
Salmon in a turtle shell (pineapple) ...Luv the smoky flavor of Alder with seafood. Great segment of Cowboy Gourmet flavors. 👍
Edited for spelling Kent, when trying to remove the skin from a fillet: keep it skin-side down and start at the tail end. Make a small nip just above the skin. Then put your finger on the skin and slip the knife into the nip, blade parallel to the board and angled down towards the cutting board. Then you saw the knife and pull on the skin. The skin should peel right off. Finally you tidy up any missed spots, taking a minimum of meat off. This works with any kind of fish.

I saw this a long time ago working in a japanese restaurant, skills are key to success. But salmon scales and skin on, over charcoal, super delicious 😊
This cowboy cook knows his stuff! Excellent Kent!
Kent, you and Shannon have to head up here to NW Ontario Canada. I'll take you out in the boat and fill it with Lake Trout that rival the size of that salmon. Between them and the walleye you will be a champion fish skinner by the time you head home. We will keep you both (and the dogs) well fed. Thanks for this interesting recipe!
Shannon, looks like you’re out there in the rain, need to add some more tin roof. God Bless Y’all. Another great recipe 😋
That little Major running to get Cletus's piece🤣🤣🤣🤣 I get such a kick out of that little guy.❤
lived in Kenai, fished, smoked, wish I had never left, might go back soon, oh, and found gold on that river, got to go back

Mr Kent, I am from Alaska - get your initial cut then hold your knife still and flat and pull fillet by the skin towards you. Yes a sharp flexible knife is essential. I have a little experience after 44 years in the last Frontier. Love your channel
I bet cowboys on the trail would love this dish!!Great videos Kent and Shannon, thanks for sharing with your recipes!! God bless you both and ur pet's!!!🙏🙏🙏
Thanks for another excuse to go fishing. I'll try that recipe with arctit char too.

Good lord that recipe sounds delicious.
Looks great Kent. I moved out to the West Coast for almost a decade from Louisiana and Oklahoma. The Rogue River was basically in my front yard and learned the ways of Salmon and Steelhead. They are awesome fish. Besides the smoking technique with brown sugar I had a friend that showed me how to cook the with Teragon, Garlic and Ginger. It is delicious, especially if you rub them down with Mayonnaise. Great job as always Cowboy.
Aw yummy..... Count Me In🍽️
Classic depression era food right here and was the main staple in our family till we moved to the big city and could afford Kraft Dinners.
Next time we can try this😂

What in the holy amazing gods mouth of glory sweet watermelon heaven !! Pineapple smoked, salmon with coconut siracha Say What ?? WOW. that sound like a flavor EXPLOSION.
that's right on the edge of full on fancy
I'm from the Canadian west coast. We used to catch a lot of salmon. That looks like a nice piece of sockeye. Pliers also work well for pulling bones. Tasty eating however you cook it. Salmon steaks on the BBQ are also nice. Try a maple syrup BBQ sauce. Be careful not to overcook it or it becomes really dry.
Thank you for the salmon recipe lol 🤤
This is the first time I hate being allergic to fish. My God, this looks delicious
Wow, salmon and pineapple on the chuck wagon. Never saw that coming. Old cowboy cooking tradition?

If one day i get rich, i'll hire a personal cowboy cook just like Kent here with dutch oven and the whole thing, even the hat.
cowboys had all those ingredients. Coconuts grew all about in the prairie as an example.
I have a video request Kent. How about a video on the pros and cons of using enamel coated cast iron Dutch ovens and braisings pans. Thanks for the awesome content!
I live an hour south of the Kenai river, we're always looking for new ways to cook salmon looks delicious

😄 I try to watch/listen to his videos while I'm already making supper for company (and since I know I'm already hungry). But then I often find myself saying "shoot, I should have made that instead!" (Tonight for instance; suddenly pasta doesn't sound as good as this recipe)
He's doing haute cuisine now 👍 ✌😎🎼🎵🎶
That was awesome. Thanks for the hug and our flag.
I got two real sled dogs here waiting for a bite too! Looks great Kent and should give it a try too.
Love your pineapple tree🤣😂
Gee Kent, you are starting to wonder off the reservation a bit with this one. These strange food combinations would be something an expectant mother would be craving and eating. There isn`t any salmon, pineapple, or coconuts in Oklahoma just wind, bugs, dirt, beef, beans and chilies. I like the standard "meat and potato" recipes made in the Dutch oven with wood chunk coals for heat. Let's get back to the basics and REAL food. I am a longtime customer and viewer, and really enjoy your videos. Thank you for making them and sharing your vast knowledge.
Looks like something I’m going to try to fix hopefully it turns out like yours
