Pilot Peak Single Track - 450 4-Strokes In The Mountains!

Ойын-сауық

Today we take our 450 ktm's to Pilot Peak Lookout at 8,120 feet elevation. The single track was amazing, and the 4-strokes ran amazing up in the high elevation mountains. The only thing I would love to change out my 450 is the heavier clutch pull! I start to fatigue faster because it takes more strength to pull the clutch than my TE250! If you are not subscribed, be sure to make it official and join the ride!

Dry and slippery, that is the only kind of dirt we have to ride in. And I thought we were the only one's with whooped out trails.

Piston Slap it got way steeper and rockier after that a ways down the trail. Did you do better in those sections?

@@RacerRed i did. I was struggling with carb problems on top of it. I think it compounded my problems. I took rabbit creek to sunset just like you did. Finding the trail was a bit easier for me. I marked on my trailtech. The last little bit on the way up to sunset was a bit slow going for me. Still learning. I might spend some money on suspension for the drz and see how that fairs. Your flying compared to me. We cut off and took Hungarian ridge back down. I was camped out on the N fk of rabbit creek for 9 days last week and a little more.

@@RacerRed Just the Leatt EXT cheap ones. I just got to try out the Kenda K760's yesterday on the 450L. I did a intermediate trail that had a really gnarly section at the beginning that a month ago I would have been terrified doing. The track masters are soft and hook up on rocks like glue. They didn't chunk and had less wear on the rear than I thought they would. They felt weird cornering at first since I'm running rim locks now and 13 PSI but I got use to them and the side hill off camber traction is great. These are now going to be my go to tire unless I plan a long distance ride one day. I also had to ride my buddies 250L through it and it made it but barely. It is amazing that with experience the trails you thought were hard at first seem like baby trails later on. When people want to try single track for the first time, the trails I think will be easy for them, they still struggle on or get scared shitless.
