Epic Rocky Motorcycle Single Track In Idaho Leads to Lakes - Four Stroke KTM 450XCF

Ойын-сауық

This motorcycle trail had amazing views from start to finish (don't miss the drone footage). During this ride I will show you three lakes, and some amazing scenery from the dirt bike trails granite cliffs. This is real Idaho single track at its finest, and the four stroke ktm 450xcf handled it like a boss!

    I feel like a real dirt biker now. I go on intermediate and hard trails deep into the mountains by myself. I passed a whole group of guys on 2 stroke enduro bikes on a black diamond trail. It was on a boulder field and I enjoyed watching them struggle. They asked how long I had been riding and seemed dumbfounded when I told them a year.

    That's good to know, have been debating btw the 450L and a beta 390. Need to ride to the trails but want something that'll help me go more places

    @@wayward03 I think the 390 would be better trail bike but the 450L is very low maintenance. At least for a dirt bike.

    We were up there on Sunday. Should have met up. I was on the other side of the mountain to the east. I agree about the rocks hiding in the grass found one of those! That area is definitely a different type of single track then what I had been riding all summer. Props to you for handling that much power. I struggled with what I got and its probably 15-20hp less and and 30 more lbs.

    Your editing skills are getting awesome. That transition with the drone footage was sick. Going from you firing it up to the aerial shot with the music was seemless.

    I have a 2019 450 xc-f and a 2019 300 xc-w tpi. For tight, technical single track, one is like going 10 rounds with Tyson in his prime and the other like going on a date with Scarlett Johansson.

    The 450 on this stuff is definitely like a bout with mike Tyson but luckily my ears are still intact.

    I did not find the 300 to be any easier than a 500exc at least on mild single and mid level double track. I'm not an expert either, just can't see the appeal of the 2T for tight stuff. Might need to try a 250 and for longer than one 3hr outing I guess

    My 450L clutch lightened up a lot from when it was new or my hand just got stronger. I one finger it all day and never notice any fatigue. And for a 450 it is very smooth now with the vortex. If i stall it now, it is my fault. And the power isn't to much being right at 40 hp. More power would be fun but too much for single track. I can ride all day if I don't Crack the throttle open all the time.

    I've been considering getting one of these bikes to go along with my 500exc. Dealers were offering pretty decent deals on them a while back and they save a bit of weight over the 500(at least my 2016 500). Wanting it for just a trail only bike, no street licensing.

    If possible, can you make a video, with the camera showing your hands. I think it may help myself and others understand how much, and when you are slipping the clutch.

    For that heavy clutch pull check out the ez levers from Midwest mountain engineering. I had them on several bikes and you can easily cover with one finger clutch and brake.

  • @RacerRed

    I will definitely check those out. I’m ready to take some steps to make my clutch easier to pull. They reduce pull weight?

  • @TorqueDorque

    @TorqueDorque

    @@RacerRed yes, the engineer that designed them had to because of weakness in his fingers/hand. They work really well for me. That Beta 430 clutch pull seems really hard to me. Put the short ASVs on it because this company doesn't make them for Nissin brakes and clutches, only Brenbo and Magura. Anyway the ASVs help but still wearing on the fingers for me
