don't forget they did a X5 LeMans with engine from V12LMR and completely track focused chassis tuning around 2001, could run the Nürburgring in 7:49

I´m still not over it, that they build a damn SUV as their anniversary model Just imagine if they brought a track focused hommage of the m1... THAT would have been insane and worthy to a subsidiary company with such a history in racing, that literally has the term MOTORSPORT(!!!) in its name I´m not mad, I'm disappointed

Can you imagine if they put the same S68 twin turbo hybrid engine in a mid engined super car. It would’ve been THE best rival for something like a 911 Turbo S

I wouldn't even be mad at this disfunctional cruise ship if they wouldn't have crowned it their 50 aniversary special and if they would still make proper sports cars with proper steering and decent weight.

Most of the XM's have not arrived yet, and I'm looking forward to seeing the XM Rebel and Rebel Red, and I won't be able to test drive them until next year, so your reviews are very helpful.Your bold challenges will make us strong in this world full of sadness. @@allnighterist Car tax in Japan is done by vehicle width, hence the small narrow cars. Japan is also much larger a country than many perceive with a huge car culture. Plenty of highways to blast down.

Matt, Congrats! - what was total liter fuel consumed, total battery kWh started w/ regenerated and then remaining. Taking almost 2750kg (approx. 6k lbs up to the top is a lot of newtons ;))

Im sorry guys, but this car is starting to grow on me The more i look at it, i just cant stop hiding the fact that i like it now😢

I really like the look of this car, great design and just like the other BMW designs that have caused a stir only to end up being loved (look back at the 5 series). The one thing I wish for this car is more boot space, in alignment to its overall size.

I think this is BMW's response to all the criticism of the XM being the "all show and no go" car that is absurd by throwing it around the corners. It's still highly debatable as a car, but this is amazing for a 2 tonnes SUV

No, 2018 Bentayga has the same record. Achieved the same lap time 5 years ago with a luxury suv.

I thought this was also a SAV like the X5 M & X6 M.

And the car was not even in sport+, what a performance !

When G8x M3/4 releases, a lot people complaint too heavy, too ugly, blah blah blah….now what? New S68 v8 with electric power is a perfect combination and added weight can help put down power better if distributed properly. When aftermarket is ready, this machine can fly for sure!!!

The V8-cylinder-plug-in hybrid engine alongside the 197 hp (145 kW) electrical motor produce a compined output of 748 hp (558 kW) and 1000 Nm of torque.

It's surprising that it didn't roll over at those speeds! But an M3 touribg would still be faster, whilest looking 10 better and beeing much cheaper!

The M8 did it in 10:12.024 with well over 100HP less. Fat truck can't race.

Cayenne Turbo s hybrid is much more faster than XM

Very impressive, thanks to the still extremely competent BMW engineers. But the BMW designers more and more loose their minds, this "M" is no "M" but a tank, unbelievably ugly !!

Wow, being slower on a perfect build road than Walter Röhrl was on the "real" Pikes Peak with its gravel dirt road, thats really a "progress". Btw, the Audi S1 had 600 HP, about 148 HP less than the BMW has. BTW, I'm a BMW driver, but thats no promotion for the brand. Maybe you should've recruited Walter Röhrl for this drive, he would've been probably faster, and for him this would be the perfect recreational trip.

In ogni caso siete dietro a Faggioli e alla Lamborghini!! 🤷
