I have been seeing these on the road, and I will admit they are breathtaking. Especially at night seeing the illuminated grille flying down the road with the v8 sounds, its really really nice

The interesting thing about the car is simple, due to the new regulations in Europe and emission reduction, the manufacturers have to come up with certain things. With this car, BMW has really created a good combination of efficiency, i.e. plug-in hybrid system and V8 performance, and that's the only reason this vehicle exists, we should be grateful that there is another V8 BMW of this magnitude!

Yes it was a great idea to combine both. The perfectly functional silent electrical system and the oldskool V8 fire power. Too bad tax regulations here in Belgium just changed, in a way that all hybrid cars are now taxed a lot higher compared to full EV's.

Especially when you consider that the EU regulations allow higher emissions the more a car weighs and they give no fuck about real world emissions, but the on paper ones where a hybrid with 25kWh battery will be like really close to a BEV (1.5 Liters per 100 Km is the official fuel consumption). Basically this car is officially (according to EU) better in terms of their CO2 regulations than a 118d lol

How much BHP is lost when the battery is at zero charge?

Got a chance to test drive the XM in April, such an overpriced unnecessary "in your face" car. But unnecessary is fun, that's why I loved driving the XM, quite impressive.

Engine sound: great, Consumption: worrying, Driving: nervous at some times when manually shifting and an annoying little pause when hitting the throttle, which makes the car suddenly jump forward at low speeds. Interior: superb, Exterior design, not for everyone but in this spec it looks really badass. Overall I liked it, would I pay $150 k or more for it... I'd probably get an M5 or an M3 Touring and an M2 for that budget. ✌

Just wow. So the next 10 years will be producing cars that listens and understands your request in real-time. That will be an engineering challenge but possible.

The worst design they’ve ever made

That is the biggest disappointment BMW has ever made. It’s ugly and classless . Four exhaust tips but only 2 actual exhausts one on each lower side. Pathetic
