3 months per bag in a dry loft but can go longer I just like to switch it once it turn to dusty

I've used the pellet for wood burning and never had any sick birds. If you can get the hard wood pellet, those don't crumble as fast as the ones used for horses. I've gone almost 6 months in between cleaning. Don't have to scrap as much as I used to anymore. I like the wood pellets alot for my loft.

Just found your channel, I am new to pigeon racing myself and currently looking at what type of flooring is best. I have tried wood shavings but that gets everywhere in the food troth and waterer. Stray brought a bug problem, currently using bare floor as well but wanting to try something different. Currently I am back to wood shavings from tractor supply just not using as much. Do the pigeons ever try to eat the pellets?

I've tried them all - wood shavings, wood pellets - I went back to scraping floors. It's more work but it's not as messy as the other two options. Pellets create a lot of dust which is not good for the birds (and you). Wood shavings get blown all over the place and really messy

I use pellet 6mm more than 5 years and im very Satisfied i change 1 ore twice year

That's awesome! Do you use the wood burning pellets or the one made for animals. I know some people who use the burning one and they've been happy with it

I used that stuff for a year and the dust it creates is crazy not a good choice because of the dust.

This year not too many since they are all proven racers. Maybe 1 or 2 pairs for pumpers
