A Morgan car is truly a unique experience, I hope the car lives up to your expectations. People will smile at you when your driving the car where ever you go. I am privileged to have had 4, I still have a copy of the build photos of my late wife sat in the rolling chassis. My current Morgan is an AeroMax number 10/100, I’d be happy with any Morgan as I love being a member of the Morgan family 😘

My wife and I wanted to do this when we lived in London in the 1970's. At the time the wait list for a new Morgan was about two years. We thought about putting our names down but knew we would be leaving the UK for the States before then, and realistically, we probably couldn't have afforded one then anyway. Fast forward several decades to 2017 and we finally bought a new car and picked it up from the factory. In our case though, it was a Volvo XC 90, built to our specs, and the pick up point was in Gothenburg, Sweden, so, granted our car isn't quite as exotic as yours, Julian, but getting a trip to Sweden from California was pretty special, and the handover, including a briefing beforehand with coffee and "cannelbuller" (cinnamon buns) in the waiting room, and a tiny single car showroom similar to yours was quite thrilling. Be well, and enjoy your Morgan! Greetings from California.

Too bloody right. I’m back up to the factory for a service. I could do it locally, yet going to Malvern is something special.

This car is pure emotion. Applied art. There is not a single rational reason why anyone would own this car, yet that emotion is reason enough why I would love to have it. Beautiful from all angles, but more than its appearance is its inner aesthetic, the idea that travel must be an adventure in itself, a struggle between man, space and time. I hope this work of art will be cherished and cared for in your family for generations to come.

Looks fantastic - the hardtop definitely finishes the car well. I bought the ex Plus Six press car in the summer. I drove mine out of the factory instead of the glass box which was also a great experience. The difference between Morgan and other brands is that 99.9% of the comments from people you meet are positive. Get some miles on it!

@@bertiewooster3326 I've got some sympathy with the 'too soft' view but you could say the same about most modern cars vs the previous generation. The roof not leaking, aluminium chassis, decent ride over the bumps and loads of power sucked me into Morgan for the first time so you are right. I wouldn't have touched an old one even though I've had loads of classics.

We went up to the Morgan factory a few weeks ago in our new Plus 6 (bit topsy turvy I know, should have done this before we bought it). Ours looks very similar to the Plus 6 demonstrator that was sitting outside the handover bay (has a few more extras). Love ours and I hope you enjoy yours.

I wondered if something similar could be achieved with a blood red opposed to the purple? Also look at the materials for the super 3… you’d be surprised what you can spec that doesn’t appear on the configurator. If they do it on one car, they can normally find a way to do it on another.

Your wife seems a little less impressed, I'm assuming for her its just a car! However there is something very special about a Morgan, and the colour choice is spectacular, and the cabin has that unique British luxury finish, that only a British car manufacturer like Morgan is capable of producing. Great to see someone genuinely excited getting his new car, i wish you many happy (hopefully trouble free!) miles. Whenever I take delivery of a new car, i am always nervous and apprehensive in case I find a fault, or it fails to live up to expectations, however clearly that was not a problem for you!

She pretends she’s not excited, yet she’s a bit of a petrolhead in her own rights. When I say petrolhead, she likes driving, hence her choice of an Eletra for her electric car. This is my second ‘new’ Morgan. The first one was a limited edition LM62, so I had less of a say on the specification and less emotional investment in the car itself. When i saw issues on the initial pick up (just bits of glue and loose fitting hard top), I was immediately disappointed. Then with the coolant and brake issues I just couldn’t get past it and the car lost it’s appeal. Hence the change. It wasn’t a problem with driving a Morgan, just that car. The Plus Six has been something else though. I know there will be bits to refine on my new purchase. Yet that’s the thing with a hand built car, everything needs a little check and a tighten a little more often. In between times it’s just miles of smiles

The Electra is a fantastic looking car, and along with the new four door GT - the Emeya, which should be on sale in next year, represent a great move by Lotus! I would have liked an Emeya myself, but at a projected price in excess of 100k was outside what I could spend. You should get your wife to post a similar video when she takes delivery of her Electra - it will probably be a first for KZread! Pleased to hear you are enjoying your Morgan, and I await the next videos...

Fantastic specs. I think the Porsche is technically a better car but will age pretty soon. A Morgan is a new classic car and will never age. I think you made the right choice opting for a Morgan. Congrats and make lots of happy memories with it.

No, it’s a good design. Additional traction through the drive wheels, narrower at the front for accurate turn in. A can of spray replaces the spare. The same in my Porsche and my Austin Healy Sprite. Why carry additional weight if you don’t have to.

Yep, the Plus Six replaced the 2022 LM62 Plus Four. As for Porsche, I firmly believe the Morgan could and should be considered a 718 rival. Although 911 is a different proposition altogether, which is why I have one of those too. Tell me more, 6Porsches, 20years of Morgan, there is more to that story I’m sure.

I could have had a spare on a rack. They are alloys rather than steels. I completely understand about trad Morgans. I have an Austin Healy Sprite, which has a personality I can only assume old Morgans have. Although for me, this purchase was for a modern car with the trade off between performance and old school character.

How do you find the cx compared to the trad you had before ? Is it noticeable better ?

My previous plus 4 was on the CX platform so I’m unable to help there. Henry Catchpole does a review on that element in his video from 2020. I can say that I drive this alongside a Porsche 911 and a Yaris GR. I can’t say that I feel a considerable difference in rigidity on the roads between them (the track may be different). I’ll be doing a fuller review which will address the differences between the Four and the Six and the 2019 vs 2023 models. 👍🏻

My town Malvern does not look like your town of Malvern. Of course mine is Arkansas, USA and the only thing we produce is meth. Love the car something else we don't have in the states but Morgans have always been one of my favorite automobiles. Thanks for sharing your car delivery with us.

Despite what others say, I think you made the correct decision on the wheels (in silver would also have worked since you have a silver roof). They remind me of old school steel racing wheels; a perfect look for a Morgan. The other Plus Six wheel options which are wide open to show "show off" disc brake size and caliper colour might work on a boring looking hot hatch; on a Morgan for me such wheels are a big thumbs down. How about an update video? Have you had any problems?

Thanks for the comment. I’ve never been too sure about the open wheels as they are a bit too gappy. No problems with the car as such. The overseer light came on, yet I had that on my manual plus four where it doesn’t actually apply, so it’s most likely a sensor issue. More videos to come now the rain has stopped!

Like everything but the wheels!

Probablemente el coche más bello que se construye en estos tiempos. Cuando compras un Morgan compras la inmortalidad. Sólo estaría en desacuerdo en que Morgan haya sucumbido a la moda absurda de los volantes achatados. Tampoco creo que la palanca del cambio automático debería replicar a la de BMW y debería recurrir a un diseño más clásico. Deseo que seáis muy felices con este sueño convertido en coche.

Hard tops are no longer available. Convertible only. My hard top comes off and I have the soft top too….in black.
