Thanks man! Slow and steady saving and investing that will compound in time. When I got out of school my net worth was in the negative. Goal is $1 mil in the next 4 years. I’ll update with the milestones :)

2024 applying to PA school. Saved up about 80k to help pay down tuition. Worked as a Medical lab scientist 3.5 years and PCA/CNA for just over a year. If I get into the school I want I can stay with my folks and study at home while going to school full time and pay off at least a good chunk of my student loans so I don’t have too worry about student debt that much.

I’m a PA Student and my Fiancé is also a nurse, adding some financial transparency from the 2 of you would be pretty neat for us! Congrats on all you’ve done

You should lump in the time you spent on all your activities involved towards your income. Good video. 🤙

It’s kinda hard because I will spend an hour here and an hour there working on stuff. I spent most of my day off on Saturday on my two KZread channels. The YT ROI is not there as I can make more money in one hour of overtime at my PA job than my whole month on YT. But it’s still an enjoyable hobby. Thanks for your comment :)

Yes there is a light at the end of the tunnel! I did not work per diem much. The current rate was $120/hour but I heard about a few different locations paying slightly more. I may explore my options. But the per diem work is looking less enticing since I can pick up an OT shift at my job at similar rates and it doesn’t involve me traveling far.

Man, I would be so excited!! 😂 I’m obsessed. I am saving for it in the background (maybe if my car KZread channel blew up lol) but first thing would be a second house and some more traveling. The Audi is almost paid off so I’ll enjoy the no car payment life for a bit.

Keep the videos as just you financial information if you can! I like watching your videos to know what’s possible as a PA I think adding in a spouse income would be like if you were gifted xxxx amount of money hahaha, it’s nice for you but let envision my goals.

Man I’m struggling between applying for PA school as opposed to other jobs with similar education like AA and cardio vascular perfusion who both make quite a bit more than PAs. I understand job fulfillment but it’s hard to ignore the numbers I’m seeing from the other professions, what do you think?

It's a tough choice man. I don't know enough about the other two to give you an honest take. I've seen AAs say they love what they do online. If the compensation and job satisfaction seem similar, I would go with the one you think you have the best success at attaining. Also, PA salaries vary depending on where you're at and what specific specialty.

Hey John. Jon here. What do you think is a reasonable per diem rate (central California), Family medicine? A few years of experience. How do you feel about sign on bonuses? Initial offer is $65/hr. It's a new clinic, but with many of the same people as the old clinic (it's a merger). My pros/cons: I've always been willing to cover times that they needed more help (Fridays). People generally get along really well with me. I AM slower because I do spend more time with people. As a clinician, I am probably average. Cheers, brother. Keep killing it.

Hey Jon, $65 sounds way too low. If $70/hr is a fair rate for you and you think it's worthwhile, then go for it. But if you're in Central California and there's an above-average cost of living and state income taxes, I don't really see how you could agree to anything short of somewhere between $80-90/hour if there are no benefits. I've heard those Kaiser nurses are making a killing.
