Okay I've been meaning to write a comment like this for days but I didn't know how to put into words about absolutely stunning this is. You just did incredible, building basically an entire plot for Phillip based on very little, and it turned out incredible. I love the characters you made too, the witch trio and their rival/enemy group. I'm especially interested in the curly haired witch with the bat palisman, I really want to learn more about her, she seems so cool. This is just amazing, I think about it all the the time, your creativity is very inspiring, I also love your art style/the shots that look more animated, you did a fantastic job! I'd love to hear more about this story and its concepts sometime, and I look forward to seeing more of your work in the future!

There is this misconceptions That the people Of the Salem Witch trails Where People Killing Witches To defend A type of Belief in something, when In reality they used that Belief to cover the fact that they were killing someone. *Ehm “Christians” and The Bible. Kinda Like “God made me Do it” when in reality The big Man is looking Down in disappointment because Again, It has nothing to do with The beliefs or what the Bible Said, it Was just people Using Christianity So they Have an Excuse To Kill people. The sequence from 2:14 -2:22 is one of my favorite things ever actually

I mourn the loss of a philip like this who got attached to magic and the demon realm and genuinely wanted to combine the two realms but went down a path of darkness of his own choosing. Fantastic animatic

I was confused for a while thinking if this is just an au where Phillip is just both brothers being fascinated by magic but also megalomanic but then hunter was there too then i realized this was probably made way before we knew exactly what was up lol

I remember first seeing this and being like: Hey this is a good interpretation! I know this aged like sour milk but I still really enjoy it! 😊 It would be really interesting if we could see the world of the owl house if this really is the direction that they went

The scene where after Philip getting absorbed(?) kinda into the orange bubble is SO SMOOTH WHY IS NO ONE TALKING ABOUT THAT Also him being like “oh my god im going to die here”

the fact you predicted so much in the end tho SDHFGSD I saw this when it was first posted bc i was obsessed with this song but i don't think i ever commented HOW AMAZING it looks

This video showed me a total surprise, the Palisman of Luz will be an otter or something similar, now I think I know the truth in that detail.

I absolutely adore everything about this, from the fluid animation, to the desaturated artwork reflecting Philip’s journal entries, to the plot, both past and future, that you built for Philip Wittebane and the rest of TOH characters. It makes him so sympathetic, but so hatable at the same time once he becomes Belos, and I love the idea that his arc mirrored Luz before it all went wrong. He had a found family too.

And that’s how Luz saved the Earth from Belos. The boiling was sadly a different story. But don’t worry, witches and humans and finding a way to co exist together on earth, and with some magic escaping onto earth allowing Luz’s spell glyphs to work… it’s like a less genocidal version of the day of unity.

After the Sol map, I didn't think I could hear this song and think about anything else ... But your job is amazing, these details, this story ... I want it as canon, though it's so terribly sad (the moment Hunter lost his palisman..)

I’m pretty sure all of our hearts broke when we saw little rascal get broken

I love the way this animatic looks! It is so unbelievably creative. I also adore the way you intercepted the ending. Poor lil’ rascal! Hunter doesn’t deserve to lose his palismen. Still brilliant done. I love the transition between the past and present day. I love just how many of the characters are present for the final battle! Also love the Otter Palismen for Luz! That was honestly a great choice.

Is it just me or does this seem *shockingly* close to the canon we see after this was released, also at about 2:24 I noticed the curly haired witch had a earring similar to that of Raine, and another connection would be the bat staff which is kinda reminding me of the BATs which was led by Raine. it could just be a coincidence while making this. This is a truly amazing animation however and captures the drama of the backstory of Phillip. I’m truly amazed.

Also when she said when she was an "Otter... with a dark side", I think that's symbolism for her being the otter and her darkside is creepy Luz, so it was foreshadowing

Spoilers Some aspects of this really seem to work for Philip’s brother, but definitely not Philip when it comes to experimenting with and liking magic, Philip said the world hid glyphs from him, so no one helped him and even the nature around him made things hard, unlike for Luz.

IKR! Seriously, they showed his face like so casually just t h e r e Nothing special just him without his mask and I think it’s for a reason Maybe to see in the perspective of how Hunter sees him - his parental figure probably. We’ve seen through the perspective of amity how she sees her parents when she was little, and now that part of the episode focused on how Hunger and Amity has a lot in common, it makes sense. To be honest, Belos doesn’t seem like the bad guy we thought he was. His smile seemed pretty peaceful and he seemed to care about Hunter Maybe that’s what we’re supposed to think, who knows?

@@wolverious I think it's yet another mask for who he truly is. And that's what makes even more dangerous and scarier. Even in that moment he's clearly manipulating Hunter ("Everyone has a use...", "It would be a hassle to find a replacement") and you can see how deeply it affects him. Even the track that plays during his appearance kind of shows it: the softer notes are meant to reassure you, that he might not be that bad after all. But you can still hear that creepy, high-pitched noise continuously playing in the back that gives the feeling there something wrong, that makes you uncomfortable. Even the softer notes start to feel off when Hunter asks Belos why he was switched with Kikimora.

THIS IS THE BACKSTORY I WISH BELOS HAD OMG😢😢😢

THAT ENDING HURT ANYWAYS THAT WAS AMAZING THANK TOU FOR THAT EXPERIENCE
