I just don't get why some people " hate on" Phil. All the guy does is involve the fans, creates incredible short shots and carry himself with class. This was one of the best final charges I have ever seen

They (a vocal minority) hate on him because he represents traditional America! You know, a Man and Woman Marriage like our Lord intended! Brings three children into the World with Amy....

I'm so glad Phil won this championship, considering he said he struggled to adjust to Open conditions earlier in his career, yet on probably the toughest course on the rota, he played the best golf of his life!

He can be a major cheeseball for the camera sorry. For example when him and his family are all dressed in white on sunday at the masters and have a circle hug prayer.

Such a huge win for Phil. After collapsing in majors early in his career, he's proven that he is one of the greatest golfers in history - coming through five times in major championships with amazing Sunday rounds. I think Phil can still get to 7-8 majors. He finished second in the last two and still has some great golf left in him.

Not sure he can get to 7 or 8. I think he'll probably have another opportunity to win a major (hopefully the US Open), but either way he will always be one of the best!

Unfortunately for him, he happened to play in the same era where the most dominant player in golf history also played. Had Phil played in any other era, he would definitely have the Slam and over 10 Majors

Let's not forget the final nine that Gary Player put together to win the '78 Masters, a run that actually started on the eighth or ninth hole that Sunday. That enabled him to come from seven behind to beat three players, including the reigning Masters and U.S. Open champions, by one shot.

Jack Nicklaus, Bobby Jones, Arnold Palmer, Gary Player, Tiger Woods, Ben Hogan, Walter Hagen, Lee Trevino, Tom Watson....you can make your own order and I'm sorry bro, but Phil Mickelson isn't ahead of any of these guys. That wanker Faldo has more majors than Phil. Phil is a special player but top 5? Not even a sniff. If you're impressed by runner-up finishes, here's a stat for you....Jack Nicklaus has 19 2nd place finishes in major championships.
