I've met Phil a few times, coolest guy ever. He can really hit some wild notes. The fact they played so well in a small venue and actually get to know their crowd is dope! I saw crüe and it was a painful experience. Nikki wasn't even playing certain riffs, Vince was awful and there was a backing track most of the time covering up their parts when they didn't play at all.

I absolutely agree with Phil regarding MC. They were a total scam (with the exception of Mick). I was at the Stadium Tour in Philly and their sound was horrible. If it hadn't been for the other bands, I would have walked out and demanded my money back. Joan Jett is in her 70's and she rocked the hell out of the place! Poison stole the show, the energy that Brett and the guys put out was just contagious! I would go to another of their shows 7 days a week and twice on Sundays, especially if they put new music out as a band (I fully admit that I was late to the party in regards to Poison). I am fully willing to admit that I am sort of a music snob and expect the band that I paid to see play PLAY! I understand that there are going to be some recorded parts due to how the songs were structured in the studio, but miming the whole thing, yeah, no. They went for decades without being out on the road and we all survived without them, if they chose not to play we still would have survived without them. I have yet to see L.A. Guns live yet, but I sure would love to! I look forward to listening to the new music!

I saw the Crue back in the day, Mick and Tommy impressed me but Vince was just adequate and I can't remember Nikki's playing at all. Saw Poison a couple of times back in the day. People get their frillies in a twist about Poison, it has always been about fun with them and as long as you remember this they're a fantastic live band. I've no interest in seeing the Crue now. If they really wanted to do more than extract money and attention Vince would have got his s*it together and you'd think they might know the songs well enough by now to only require minimal backing tracks.

FACT alert - I have always been a Crue Head. But gee Nikki, as brilliant a writer that he is, and really he's been the 'driver' of MC from the start, Sixx has arguably 'the' biggest glass jaw in rock. Nikki's entire adult life is full of contradicting statements on key issues, his name for example, he said he got it from his drivers licence, but he says he pinched that name N6from a bloke who was the boyfriend of a chick he was fucking? The 'Heroin Diaries' is all shit. I used, you reckon smackheads spend their time, their entire time writing a diary? No, you're ALWAYS chasing your next taste. Phil called NS out on that book and NS went ballistic. Now MC've used backing vocals for a decade and to be objective Nikki admitted this, Paul Stanley, the meglomaniac he is still denies miming - but Tracii plays Hudson or 5 off a short break. Tracii would have $200 million if he'd have followed Axl from 'Hollywood Rose' into lead guitar for GnR. The "Guns" in GnR is named after all a the staggeringly brilliant Tracii Guns. Nikki should grow up. The First Amendment seems foreign to Nikki, blocking Phil on Twitter just makes those that despise him hate him even more. He's called Lars "poor fat bald Lars" when Nikki wears hair parts himself, his entire front hairline has receded to the near middle of his scalp. I wish he'd just cease being a rude pig. He 'is' an icon, why go into the gutter? Has me amazed and honestly just sad. Vince and Mick for me are/have always been the fun/skilled members. Mick is a true guitar icon. I miss "Isabella". I have nothing at al negative to say about 5. He/NS are old mates, hence 5 being asked to join MC. Mick has something that once lost is impossible to regain - MASSIVE respect from fans and within the music industry !!

Why don't you ask "honest honorable" Phil WHY he blatantly STOLE Paul Mars Black's music (with help from Tracii Ulrich-Guns' help of course) and then proceeded to change some lyrics and call it his own. The band then used majority of that stolen material to create (and sell loads of) their first album. But that's not all. Phil continues to this day to badmouth, run down, and demean Paul Black's artistic talents, his singing ability, and his so called "reason for being kicked out of L.A. Guns years ago", in the media. To this day, this guy Lewis is sooo insecure and ungrateful for what he was literally handed on a silver platter, he can't help himself from discreditting the guy he replaced and stole music from. Phil wasn't satisfied with just stealing Black's songs, his vocal style, and his place as lead singer of L.A. Guns. That wasn't enough. He actually has the audacity to criticize Black (unprovoked) for years everywhere in the media. Paul's life, his career (being buried in lawsuits for years over the stolen songs cost him any chance to further his musical way with later bands), his everything was destroyed by L.A. Guns, and specifically the band's label,Tracii, Phil, and even Steve Riley later on. These guys are as dishonest, disrespectful, and pathetic of human beings as you can ever find. Yet their "fans" gloss over all the bands' shortcomings and act as if they are some class act. This band has had absolutely NO integrity or care or respect for other musicians or human beings in general. And I am only making reference to thir horrible treatment of Paul Mars Black. L.A. Guns has hurt, mistreated, and betrayed MANY other musicians/artists over the years. But hey, they must think that their rewriting of their own history/past/bio will cover their asses for all the horrible things they've done and all the people they used and hurt over the years...>
