Great Singer but the new album is complete trash.
Thomas, you always know how to amaze me. Thank you so much for your amazing job! You interviewed a Rock hero of my youth. I just learn to play my own electric guitar, so Rik is my biggest influence! TRIUMPH is my favorite Hard Rock band. Oh, you even spin CLASSICS on LP? Great choice! Warmest regards from Russia...
Is this a cover band? I don’t know. Thank you!
Great interview. The new album is fantastic. These guys are so humble, absolute Canadian Rock Legends but they come across so down to earth in interviews. You're right, Derry is one of the best guitarists to come out of Canada, his riffs and solos are always engaging. Plus, even though he plays it down, he can shred with the best of them! Seeing HMS here in Nova Scotia in less than two weeks and really looking forward to Derry's solo project too.
Hey, interviewer! Watch your language! God's name is Holy!
Love the intro song he did on 7th Heaven
🎉🎉😍🎉🎉congrats from Brazil!!!!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Jimmy was the inspiration for me to date awesome guitar players. Even when he was in Flame in the 1970’s He has super talent ❤ Gifted!
Steve has always been one of my favorite singers. He had an instantly distinctive voice. So awesome to see him back!
Steve's voice is still great. But given his skill and experience as a songwriter, the majority of the songs on this album are a real letdown. It almost feels like a large part of the songwriting wasn't Steve himself but AI.
I hear Tom Scholz is coming out with a new Album and tour in 2025....... cant wait
Wow ! I cart believe its you. Honestly, WOW .I've always wondered about yourself every now and then when you played live at the Newcastles Mayfair. Sorry I didn't know you are the guitar player for UFO, Honestly I didn't know who Gary more was. I am now smiten. Just to say that we have a lot in common, such as I know where you're coming from as I've listened to your interview we both play guitar 🎸 and we both share the same initials. NC . My name is Neil Clark. Please check out comfrey project Neil a passion for music. Many thanks Neil. I follow you and hope to see you play again Live .
Steve is a HELL of a SINGER! So HAPPY to SEE him BACK!
Awesome interview. I love the song ‘Riff and Roll’ from the Pandora’s box box set, I put that one on my favorites mix. It was cool to hear him mention it. I love ‘Rock in a hard place’
Go back to autograph...... plunkett without autograph is no good
Very cool to see an interview with Plunkett! When I was a teenager, he was the guitarist/singer of my favorite L.A. local band, WOLFGANG. There wasnt a band that could touch em ,Not VanHalen, not Quiet Riot, Nobody!
Dave's timing is off
of course his old and not his prime
great 👍 thank you 🙂
Always admired his work. I saw Honeymoon Suite in Youngstown Ohio. 1985 or so.
Not sure if rhey should be doing this.....having said this i have heard the cd and i would go see them if they came to Erie!
I have the utmost respect for Tracii the guitarist. Tracii the person still to this day leaves a lot to desire. He once said any drummer can be replaced and that may be true. However a guitarist also can be replaced also. Yes, there is always a difference just look at the replacements for Steve, NO ONE has filled that void imo! Yes their making great music but this guys attitude about people, dude these people are the people that support you! Is he really that dense that he doesn't get it? His arrogance is nauseating! I haven't seen the band since Blades was the lead guitarist and even though he didn't come close to Tracii, he was approachable. Tracii for the position he is in, in this time of his life and all the shit he Fd up with that band he should be considerably more humble but he still seems to be the same miserable guy he was years ago. As far as drummers go, I actually traveled about 70 miles outside Philly to try and catch him and Phil and guess what the drummer didn't make the show. I talk to a lot of people in the business and one who was very close to this band and there was only one professional member in this band and he is no longer with us! Tracii tends to blame everyone else for his F ups! This band with Tracii (who is far superior than Slash) should have been a giant. They even more than Motley deserved stadium tours. There is only one reason they never got that far and that's the person that blames everyone else. There is only one thing in a band that never can be replaced and that's the vocal! Never worked with any band. Maybe VH but even Sammy didn't make VH Eddie did. There's a reason Zeppelin never fully reunited and that's because Jimmy was a stickler for the drum sound he wanted. From The Firm to Coverdale Page he was never happy with the drum sound except maybe the Black Crowes. Tracii is the Jimmy Page of that era imo! I'm not a hater of the guitarist but the person is a miserable F**k and yes I met a few times. I met all of them more than once and not once did Phil come off as an egotistical ahole! There is only one other guy in music that I've met that was more down to Earth and accomedating to his fans. I met many from the Crue to Page and Plant and to this day Phil and this other person were thee most plesant to be around! That is something I don't understand every old school country artist knows where their bread is buttered but some of these rock guys. Forget about it! If I could say one thing to Tracii it would be lighten the fuck up!
back in the day he had long red hair
So happy that Steve plunkett is back
Chris amazing Drummer should be back with AC/DC not Matt 🇬🇧 🤘
Great interview, Thomas! Chris seems very down to earth, considering some of the big names he’s played with.
Thank you! Yes, Chris is a rock legend and a great guy.
관객들 뭐하냐?
Where is Oz Fox?
Just fucking sucks compared to the 1989 version
Singer is flat tone wise, no grit. And he is zero for stage presence. Need more than hair for talent! Really sucks- flat
From that era, two of the only bands still cranking out great albums! Would absolutely love to see that tour!
I love Phil Lewis! Good to hear that him and Traci are getting along.
Ótima entrevista, tem algum show do Autograph nos anos 80 filmados por câmeras?
They had one song for fux sake.
They had 3 great albums for "fux sake".
I'm pretty sure I remember Tracii in a past interview that he and Slash went to the same high school! So, yeah a true rock school. Good interview!
1983, I saw a concert at Orange Arena, Orlando, FL. BRYAN ADAMS AEROSMITH SAMMY HAGAR ☆JOURNEY☆ Bryan Adams great Aerosmith sad Sammy Hagar great Journey Amazing
Wow. If your school announces the pasding of a rock n roll star it must be a pretty "in" school and 😎 cool. 😊
La guns / stryper tour is amazing😊
Great stuff in this interview 👍
Thank you, Andy. I'm glad that you enjoyed it.
We're all waiting for the album guys where is it?
I get what he said about Ozzy but isn’t it true about any musician that the people around you make you great? Please don’t try and say that Ozzy was basically untalented… ?!?!
Why don't you ask "honest honorable" Phil WHY he blatantly STOLE Paul Mars Black's music (with help from Tracii Ulrich-Guns' help of course) and then proceeded to change some lyrics and call it his own. The band then used majority of that stolen material to create (and sell loads of) their first album. But that's not all. Phil continues to this day to badmouth, run down, and demean Paul Black's artistic talents, his singing ability, and his so called "reason for being kicked out of L.A. Guns years ago", in the media. To this day, this guy Lewis is sooo insecure and ungrateful for what he was literally handed on a silver platter, he can't help himself from discreditting the guy he replaced and stole music from. Phil wasn't satisfied with just stealing Black's songs, his vocal style, and his place as lead singer of L.A. Guns. That wasn't enough. He actually has the audacity to criticize Black (unprovoked) for years everywhere in the media. Paul's life, his career (being buried in lawsuits for years over the stolen songs cost him any chance to further his musical way with later bands), his everything was destroyed by L.A. Guns, and specifically the band's label,Tracii, Phil, and even Steve Riley later on. These guys are as dishonest, disrespectful, and pathetic of human beings as you can ever find. Yet their "fans" gloss over all the bands' shortcomings and act as if they are some class act. This band has had absolutely NO integrity or care or respect for other musicians or human beings in general. And I am only making reference to thir horrible treatment of Paul Mars Black. L.A. Guns has hurt, mistreated, and betrayed MANY other musicians/artists over the years. But hey, they must think that their rewriting of their own history/past/bio will cover their asses for all the horrible things they've done and all the people they used and hurt over the years...>
Oh we know GLJ🥰
Tyler passed out for good at the Worcester Centrum 11/16/1982. Not the Providence Civic Center. Saw 2 shows Rock in the Hard Place Tour 1982 at Worcester Centrum, Ma. including Tyler passing out. Crespo kicked ass on lead guitar.
He's already written two of the greatest songs ever in Am I Evil and Borrowed Time. Easily as good as anything from Metallica.
Comment. S. Brown has been blessed by God and life He has been with so many artists and he has learned so much from them.
Its how they set up the sound, weak. Its not him.
Rik is the epitome of down-to-earth charm and humility, wrapped in the aura of a true legend. As a songwriter, singer, and guitarist, he’s an unbelievable triple threat, delivering incredible performances across all fronts. His blend of talent and modesty is as rare as it is mesmerizing, making him an unparalleled force in the music world.
Good stuff Derry!
Great interview! Wish they were more famous!
Probably my favorite album from them. In part cuz it doesn’t really sound like Aerosmith lol. Far better than Permanent Vacation or Pump and is even better than Rocks or Toys in The Attic
