My Father can't speak English but he sings this song as someone who has been in a place where it is fluently spoken. I like to listen to him always when the music is being played and principally when he begins to whistle. May the Lord protect him for long

You forget all the crap that you had to wade through to get to it. Check back on today's music in 10 - 20 years. There will be one or two songs that have lasted and the rest will be forgotten.

+Destrol Hes yes youre right phils day had more mainstream artists who sang with a message example like Biko by Peter Gabriel. you will never hear a song on the charts as meaningful as that. but, lets not forget the 80's had shitty generic pop music to like milli vanilli and others more i cant be bothered to name. the thing is only the greats, like phil are remembered 30 years later, which is good for all of us

I'm thinking of my best friend I lost last April. Nowhere in God's word does it say dogs or our animals go to heaven, but this song makes me think of him. We used to go bye-byes in our truck. He loved road trips and listening to music along the way. He was my everything. I often make a voice like he's talking, and he says "it's REALLY GOOD papa here with the Lord. Strife, famine homelessness, political unrest, murder, genocide , racism & disease , domestic violence, child trafficking and sexual abuse. I could go on. Humans have accomplished SO much; but we have also accomplished so little in so many ways. I hope we become better as a species. I have hope.
Every time I hear the song it makes me want to break down and cry to think about all those in need. My husband has helped more people to get back on their feet than anybody else I know. Much to my chagrin. However there was one time at a Greyhound bus stop for a little old lady asked him for help to pick up her bags and when he did she screamed for help. So, this day and age it's just hard to have a warm heart

Hello how are you doing?
I heard this song in 1989 when I first got married. When I have hard times or good times I remember this song because we all have something to be thankful for. You give thanks all year long and not just at Thanksgiving. Alot of people don't care about things anymore or anyone. America people are so ungrateful and we all take things for granted. We don't know how lucky we are until you see someone that is a lot more unfortunate.
Just think how lucky we are for having a roof over our heads.

Oh Lord, there must be something you can say You can tell from the lines on her face You can see that she's been there Probably been moved on from every place 'Cause she didn't fit in there Oh, think twice, 'cause it's another day for you and me in paradise Oh, think twice, it's just another day for you You and me in paradise Just think about it Mhm Think about it It's just another day for you and me in paradise It's just another day for you and me in paradise (para-paradise) Paradise Ooh, just think about it Paradise Just think about it (para-paradise) Paradise Mhm, paradise Paradise Just another day

She calls out to the man on the street "Sir, can you help me? It's cold and I've nowhere to sleep Is there somewhere you can tell me?" He walks on, doesn't look back He pretends he can't hear her Starts to whistle as he crosses the street Seems embarrassed to be there Oh, think twice, 'cause it's another day for you and me in paradise Oh, think twice, 'cause it's another day for you You and me in paradise Think about it She calls out to the man on the street He can see she's been crying She's got blisters on the soles of her feet She can't walk but she's trying Oh, think twice, 'cause it's another day for you and me in paradise Oh, think twice, it's just another day for you You and me in paradise Just think about it Oh Lord, is there nothing more anybody can do? Oh Lord, there must be something you can say You can tell from the lines on her face You can see that she's been there Probably been moved on from every place 'Cause she didn't fit in there Oh, think twice, 'cause it's another day for you and me in paradise Oh, think twice, it's just another day for you You and me in paradise Just think about it Mhm Think about it It's just another day for you and me in paradise It's just another day for you and me in paradise (para-paradise) Paradise Ooh, just think about it Paradise Just think about it (para-paradise) Paradise Mhm, paradise Paradise Just another day
