Oh, how I feel this song by Phil Collins. It was 1991, when I first met my true love. We were both 25 years old. She was a teacher, looking to return to school to get her Masters in Theater and I was working as an engineering tech. at a research center. After dating for three months, I let her slip through my hands, when she went away to graduate school. I knew she was the one, but I was taking my time and didn’t want to rush things. We lost contact and I thought about her ever since. In 2011 we found each other and ironically, we both were going through a divorce. We rekindled what we had in 1991 and we have not skipped a beat. We got married in 2017 and life has been grand, thanks Phil for the timeless music and the memories!

With all the great musicians passing these days, let's be grateful that Phil Collins is still with us, and let's continue to appreciate his musical greatness and impact on our lives. Regardless of why or it how it happened, all have had situations in our lives where the lyrics from this song rings true. Music like this, I think, sadly, will never be made again. My dad used to go away for two weeks every year with the National Guard. In 1985 we dropped him off for his trip and my mom cried all the way home with this song playing in the background. He passed away in 2014 and I have an extremely hard time listening to it now but it is such a beautiful song.

It’s songs like these and musicians like Phil that make it an awesome time to be alive in.
1985 Was A Excellent Year For Music & Films
Almost 10 years ago my dad played this song while we were driving up north in the dark and with every streetlight that went past i went into deeper thought. I fell in love with the melody and the yearning for love expressed in the song. Now in 2023 i met michael online.. asked him to play this song in his stream and i could feel my heart strings pull again.. now he’s all i think about.. caring, selfless and handsome xx i look forward to his messages every day. If you ever find this babe please know i love you x in the short time we’ve known each other you’ve made me feel wanted, needed and special x I don’t know what God has planned ahead but i hope i can spend that one more night with you. x

One of those songs that takes me back to a much simpler, happier time. Not just for myself, but for a lot of people I’m sure. Maybe it’s the rose-tinted glasses I tend to view the past with…but I feel so much sorrow knowing we as a society can probably never go back to days like this.

Exactly this for me, Father would listen to this album a lot, in particular reminds me of hot summers, warm summer nights driving home he would play this song, he is no longer with me and I miss him when I hear this, but I also miss the 90s and everything seemed so much better.

Hey there how are you doing ?
What an amazing song since 1985 until now....just give me one more night ...a memory to remember
My parents were huge fans of Phil Collins back in the late 80s and had most of his albums on cassette tape. I was only around 6 to 7 years old at the time but always hearing Phil Collins whenever they played his songs on the radio had quite an impact on me. I've never forgotten his music. This song in particular always grabbed my attention. Of course at my age at the time I didn't really understand its meaning, or that of any song for that matter, lol! But hearing it now at 40 years old, it really has an even more profound impact on me now.

Once in a while God drops a blessing to us that doesn't get serious recognition but the impact is huge. That's Phil Collins. This song is a classic and my All time favorite. 38 years later and i still love this song. And Don Myrick on Sax is the best.

Hey this is the best song ever
I was hunting this album on cd and I kept going until I found it. One of the best of the 80ies. The sound of my youth❤
To the person that reads this, I ask the Lord to bless them and their family, to cure them of every sickness and pain, to fill their emptiness with love joy and peace, to rebuke the enemy from their lives. " ASK JESUS TO COME INTO YOUR HEART AND SAVE YOU, AND TO FORGIVE YOU OF YOUR SINS, FOR WE GIVE THANKS AND GLORY TO THE LORD. IN THE MIGHTY NAME OF JESUS CHRIST AMEN!
My parents got me into this song. They appreciated the value of having good music around the house to dance to, clean up to, and live life to. I was born at exactly the right time, 1979, to be able to enjoy 80s, 90s and 2000s stuff. Along the way I developed a love for older classic music too.

I remember when this song came out so long ago. I was a teenager lost in love. Every night … talking to my high school love on the phone. Listening to that nighttime show on the radio … where the latest love songs were played all night from pop and R&B. We talked all night. She was a beautiful soul. I hope she is happy today and that laugh never changed. Love is eternal. Laughter fills the void in so many ways.
I love how his music transcended all races, culture, and ages. Pure greatness!
