    Does the tensioner with the hex hole when adjusted becomes tight but if you over turn the hex adjuster does it become loose again and you have to get it to the tightest position and then tighten the 17mm bolt. Thx

    Greeting I also have a problem with the belt of my 2013 Peugeot 3008 2.0 120kw. Hybrid, the last month has cracked me 3 times. And mostly in rainy weather, when he wants to switch from Hybrid to motor-powered. What are your suggestions on what could be the cause, how to solve the problem?

    Hello, this problem is relevant for many. Without seeing the car, it's hard for me to comment, but there aren't many options. I think when the main problem for everyone is the wrong belt tension, because rarely any car service has a quality tool to measure the tension. The next mistake could be the wrong belt, an analog that does not meet the manufacturer's requirements. All that remains is a damaged retractor or damaged pulleys for the alternator, air conditioner or the engine itself. Of course, the car must be equipped with all guards that protect the belt from water, stones and sand. Very little chance when the problem is elsewhere.

    Hello, I have replaced the belt and tensioner with factory ones due to a fault. They tell me that the voltage values are 165 MHz, but in some forums I have seen 220 MHz. Do you know what value with new parts is correct? Thank you for your time.

    Hi there, a help would be appreciated. I've changed alternator bearing. Didn't changed the belt, it is new one changed by Peugeot dealer about a month ago. After replacing alternator - old alternator, new bearing, car was working superb with no errors for about 15km, than it gave U1288... invalid reversible alternator torque value sent by the hybrid management ecu 2! Engine error, it cuts off electric and fan spins at full. Should I do someting in DiagBox if playing with alternator or belt? thanks!

    Hi, you can't solve this problem yourself. Go to the dealer to reprogram the generator. This operation can only be performed by the dealer.

    @@robertsansons Hi, thank you for your answer. I have DiagBox cracked, offline mode. Do you think I should give it a try myself or ti just has to be done by dealer for any reason? When first error occured it felt like a belt slipped. It happened while car was trying to switch from battery to ICE. I don't have belt tension meter, should I try tightening belt a bit more? Or it should throw a diffrent error if it was belt problem? (i was writting from my wife's laptop), thanks in advance.

    Hello, if you changed the bearing, the generator may not be recognized by the machine. By connecting the diagnostic device, it will be possible to see when the generator is not active, it may not have the correct connection to the ecu block. Only the dealer can solve this problem with the help of online diagnostics. I had this problem when I replaced both bearings. If the strap slips, it must be tightened to at least 165-185 hp, this cannot be done without a gauge. Improper belt tension is the biggest problem with these hybrids.

    @@robertsansons Hi again, and thanks for your effort. After erasing errors in HCU1 I took car for a raide while observing alternator parameters via DiagBox. There are two temperature sensors, inverter and stator. Once inverter temp goes to 70 degrees radiator fan starts to spin full speed, and soon after that it gets to 90, than it throws error code P0A35 - about overheating the power unit and shuts down hybrid drive train. I tried to vent alternator via it's own bleed screw and now car runs a bit longer but eventually it overheats alternator, again. So looks like main problem here is proper bleeding of cooling system? Do you have any experience with bleeding hybrid? I red somewhere that special pumps are needed to do the job properly?

    @@martinasotola5443 Hello, yes, it is right to use a special pump that creates a vacuum in the cooling system and then refills the system. But I managed to bleeding without a pump. If the entire cooling system is emptied, there may be a problem with bleeding, as this machine also has cooling for the electric motor, and there is also bleeding screws. Overheating of the alternator can also be related to a malfunction, as the rotor reader has changed its position after replacing the rear bearing. Then, when my peugeot dealer tried to program the generator back, he encountered the following problem. To do this, there are a number of parameters that must be met, starting with the engine temperature, generator temperature, battery charge level, and so on. It is not an ordinary alternator, it is more like a servomotor. If the cooling system is bleeding and the air is not an alternative, then the heating problem is, in my opinion, a malfunction of the alternative. Probably when I'm wrong, but that's my thoughts.

    Hi, thanks for the good feedback. The alternator belt will rupture due to incorrect tension or incorrect belt. This problem is very popular. Re-article: the new belt tension is 220Hz + -10Hz, use only the original belt. Very little and incorrect information is also available from peugeot officials. The belt tension check only with an electronic measuring instrument, do not use a mechanical one. 10% possible that the dynamic retractor is damaged.

    Hello. The tension of the new belt is 220Hz+-10Hz. Check the crankshaft pulley and the alternator pulley, they must be clean. They often have dirt and this causes poor contact with the belt. If everything is clean, then the problem could be with the dynamic retractor. The retractor must not jump when a new belt is installed and the engine is running.     @@edwardmadry4299 I use Launch, autocom think when will not work. Note the replacement of the ecu strap is not so important, the key is to tension the strap correctly. The error in changing the belt interval will only be ecu, the engine fault will be from the sliding belt, but not from the interval. And the errors from the sliding belt can be very different, but all will be related to the DC generator.

    Hi I'm currently having issues trying to replace the belt on my hybrid ds5 2013 model 🥺 I have snapped one already. Just won't seem to fit on..anyone got any advise that were not doing right? Can't seem to find anything to loosen the mechanism to get the belt on... I've been told the correct belt is either a gates 6pk1080xs or a dayco 6pk1080dt?

    Sveiciens. Paskatījos šādu intrumentu, padārgs maita. Un robežas it kā ir no 210-230 Hz. Pašam stāv šāds darbiņš priekšā. Servisiem īsti neuzticos. Pie reizes vēl zobenes komplekts. Varbūt zini vietu, kur tādu var aizņemties?
