Here's the harnesses that I've moved to for most of my climbing and the reason why I've moved to these harnesses. patron: / ryantilleyclimbinganda... Instagram: rtillson_

As someone who uses BD harnesses PLEASE do a video detailing the quality issues! Also what other changes of theirs aren't you liking?

I have the Altitude, and it’s surprisingly comfortable and useful for regular climbing. I have brought it on two recent trips where we were flying, so limited for lugage, and were only doing 1 day of climbing, with other sports the rest of the time. I didn’t do any hard projects, but I did do normal sport leads, and belayed my kids (lots of hangdogging for them).

Great video! I've recently been switching from BD to Misty mountain and petzl harnesses. I also picked up an Arctyrex one for mountaineering and alpine stuff.

I’ve been wanting to try out the Arctyrex harnesses for a while now, just haven’t gotten around to spending the money on them, but from what I’ve heard they’re pretty comfortable

Have you looked at the Edelrid Prism Guide harness? I really like it.

What is your true waist measurement? I have an old hirundos harness and am looking at a new Acquila. The size charts don't seem to match my older harness and I'm not sure if I am a medium or large. My waist is measured at about 34" and I usually wear like size 32-34 size pants. Thanks.

I would go with a size large for Petzl harnesses.

The gear loops might not last on anything where they rub the rock, bd has rubber coating.
