Thanks for this, that will be a beautiful container! I started petunia seeds this year but they don't seem to want to sprout for me but my seeds are a few years old, luckily they are cheap to buy as plants. I also didn't know they were such heavy feeders, probably my mine never look that great.

Don't give up on seeds! I just had 20 year old hibiscus seeds germinate in a few days after soaking. How's the temperature of the soil you have them in? It's usually around 10 degrees cooler than air temps.

It was down to 29 degrees last night and of course I brought them in. I doubt Walmart did so I'm really curious if theirs are still alive. They had a lot of stuff outside already.

This video made me subscribe!!!! I got you continue to make more videos!!! This is my very first year doing ANY type of gardening and I've been looking for overwintering videos to help save money for next year. We are in the same zone so I'm hoping you overwinter and make videos! 😃

Thanks for subscribing! I'll get back to posting more videos soon. I find it really hard to be inside editing when I can be out playing with plants! The best money-saving tip I can give you is to learn to grow from seed and propagate from stem cuttings. I will be bringing in a few of my petunias to overwinter them. Didn't have much luck with it last year but going to give it a go! Always love to hear from others in the same zone, it's nice to be able to share and compare! Good luck to you in your new gardening adventure, it's addicting!

@@PetalsAndMetal I just found your channel and I am enjoying it. I would like to see a video on what can be planted now to come up in the spring. I am zone 6B/7A but planting in a frost pocket which is in a little valley (sort of) NW Oklahoma. Keep it up! I'll be watching!

@@AngelaSissySnyder I'm working on a video now for peonies. Will have bulbs to plant soon too. Fall is the best time to plant almost anything. Have you checked your zone by zip code? Im getting ready to leave for a bit but I'll post a link later where you can zoom in on the map to see better.
