What a rush that would be. Long hair, light clothing, screaming fans, the sun is out, wind blowing through your hair, your the biggest thing in music at the time, everyone wants you and your music, and you have a nice buzz on as you gaze across the sea of people. A musicians dream!

Yes but with a lot of drugs to forget about the realities of life and to be able to just let the mind do what it’s capable of and really perform and come up with great ideas for music. Wasn’t many of the great singers that didn’t do that stuff.

It's very possible dude went to this show. If this concert came to my area back then i could've seen it, it probably did but I don't remember. I think Skynyrd was on this tour. I mean, I saw KISS that same year at the Philadelphia Spectrum in December. I don't think that's so hard to believe

Damn... day I moved to California... didn't realize this was going on. 40 years later... what I missed
I grew up in the 70s. I played guitar, jammed with my friends, those were the days. When "Frampton comes alive" came out, he became an instant star over night. Everybody loved the rocker from down under!! I think I was 14 or 15 and when I first heard him, I was blown away. That stadium was packed. U could Not get anymore people in there. That was when u didn't need seats, it was all general admission . Not allowed today. But there r bands that draw crowds like that. Those were the days!! Right after that it was off to Vietnam in the military. Saw a lot of the greats. A lot r still around, and rockin, packin crowds like that too. I'm still rockin , playin and I'm 60. U can never go back, but the memories, WOW!!

Some chronological issues there. If you are 62 you couldn't have served (other than as a child soldier) in the Vietnam War, which in any case was over several years before FCA came out.

Great comment my friend. I relate to all that.
Nothing but the best. Frampton reminded me of summer in America and the great days of being younger. Fantastic to artist singer and guitarist.
Wish I was there. A world now lost. Every great guitarist has a ‘gimmick’. But it never overshadows their brilliance as players. It just gives them a little edge to make them stand out. I love Frampton’s confidence and panache.

I was there and left after a short time when Frampton came on. It was a hot day and had before him performed - The OutLaws, Santana and Lynyrd Skynyrd, and he could not add anything better than these groups!

1977. "Day on The Green" Oakland, Alameda County coliseum. I figure that Oakland A's were on the road that weekend. As a kid growing up in the Bay Area I'd always hear about these concerts promoted on AM radio. Bill Graham Presents always had awesome headliners.
Happy 45th anniversary to this great song from the 70's 🎧✌👍
Peter Frampton, what a great voice. Love this song. And he had so many other greats. One of the best in the seventies and eighties. Had great memories listening to his music!! Thank you for those memories. Your the best!!!

Good grief! I was thinking the same thing! Honestly, more like thirty. I have two blonde nephews ages 10 and 7. Also, a little blonde niece born in 2017.😍 BUT U FEAR FOR HER FUTURE! Mom's German and Dad's people cane to US from Germany in 1542. I'm medium blonde and blue eyed, so I carry those rare genes. Wife wants me to donate multiple to a sperm clinic. We are worried about the future.
