I LOVE how the one person was going to redo their whole tank and you saw how amazing it was and talked them into just adding sand and starting a food web and letting it stay beautiful and balanced!
I am so happy people found you! I went full time in a RV there for fish tanks aren’t really possible but I miss it so much. So I decided to stop in a say hi! People used to give me a hard time doing dirted tanks but I loved it and it works amazing! Congratulations on your success you so deserve it! God Bless You

It seems you are finding endless ideas in producing these videos. 👍..a couple thoughts came to mind. One Petco discontinuing gravel sales and selling your supplement. Two. I had a bout of ich and applied your method. Happy to report everything is back to normal. Thanks for all you and your crew do.
Father Fish out here inspiring people in the hobby.. You've taught me so much since I started!!
Glad Petco is coming around!
Father fish is the epitome of “just throw some dirt on it” got my plant order in and it’s totally worth the value! And free snails, can’t beat that lol
You gave me the confidence of keeping fish! I currently have a 55 gallon of glofish I have to fill with plants!!! I am enjoying all of your videos. The past few days I’ve been watching them to catch up! I am glad I came across you ❤️
Thank you 1000 times for everything you do. I love my new Father Fish aquarium.
I enjoyed seen all those people on your chat and best of all tanks! Father fish, you should continue doing video's like this. A nice hello to Petco, scapes done your way. Well explained, Great job!
Oh shoot I have 5 planted tanks myself & I live 20-40min down the road from that Charleston petco the guy showed I’m gonna have to go check em out now
I love this format (hate the shorts). Medium short videos, like this are great.
So thankful for you Father Fish! My first FF tank is going so well and it looks so beautiful

This is great!!! Woot woot!!
Those are some nice tanks! It's also great seeing the Pet Co store moving towards FF Method! As the algae and blue light go, I read about it on one fish forum. It was a night light, so way weaker than usual lights, maybe blue, maybe pale blue, but when going for hours it made Black Brush Algae start growing rapidly. Bottom line, I wouldn't be afraid of that in FF tank, but I also they should be very very weak or turn them on just when watching the tank at night time.
This is fantastic! Loving and learning 🙏🏽
I wish you could talk to the Petco and Petsmart here in Los Angeles-specially in the Glendale area. I am saddened by the amount of dead fish I spot every time I visit their stores. I rescued a dying betta from Petsmart. You wouldn’t even recognize him now from the picture of him on the first day! I was lucky to be in line at Petco a few weeks ago where a woman was returning two male bettas because she put them in a fishbowl together and one almost killed the koi betta. She donated the koi betta and I asked if I could have it, and they let me have him! He’s only 4 months old and GORGEOUS. He’s in a 10 gallon tank which is a big upgrade from the tiny bowl he was in. He had an injured eye and fins from the near death experience with the other betta, but he is healed and beautiful only 2 1/2 weeks later! His eye is completely healed and I was most worried about that since I read their eyes don’t always heal from fights. Please find a way to reach out to Glendale Petco and Tujunga Petsmart. They desperately need your guidance!

Welcome!
Father Fish you were right about the Hex tank leaking. Woke up to a flooded area and a heater that burned up. Actually, had to take it outside in a pan and throw water on it. So put all plants and fish in the 35 gallon that I had set up. Can not afford another tank so I hope it works. Thank goodness I buy my fish a little at a time. They seem ok so far, but it has only been a few hours. Fix the last leak in the Hex but not doing this again. It is going to the dump. I do not want someone else to have the headache. Still trying to catch the Dano's. Just hope all the fish will do good in one tank. My fish store has also set up a Father Fish tank. They actually sale small tank with everything included.

I don't see much fresh water shrimp here , they are a great addition as are mussels.
Great vid FF.
I set up my tank from the start again last April, with a.n inch of organic compost, and then a three inch layer of small gravel. I am having the best success I ever have with plants and am mostly happy with it. I just wish that I had of used sand as the gravel does seem to want to make the Ph at around 8.0 or just above. I use a lot of rainwater for small but frequent water changes, to help with a ph now closer to 7.0.

I want to have a thick substrate but my fish keep digging it and any plants up, clouding the water. What should I do for a tiger loach and a large pleco that love to dig? I heard the flat rock/slate idea in the video, but both the loach and pleco actively push and move the rocks and wood out of the way to dig.

@@FatherFish, is there no further wisdom you can bestow upon me‽ Is there no possible way to prevent a fish from digging up the substrate and plants? A setup that would allow them to be seen through clear waters residing amongst the greenery of nature? 🐟🌿😫🙏😁
@AlinefromToulouse
4 ай бұрын
@@taylorquimby4004 maybe FF means the attitude is inherent to the species of your fish, the tank has to be adapted to that. The flat rock is for fish that dig for spawning.
Does anyone know if I can adapt this system to a swimming pool? I have a pretty good sized in ground pool that I would like to turn into a fish pond. The bottom of the pool is not flat, like a square or rectangle, so I'm concerned the dirt and sand would end up in the deep end. Anyone has any ideas please? Thank you.
@FatherFish

sand alone is adequate. The best way is to build a barrier in the shallow end and only create substrate in that part. Sand alone is adequate. It will build a dirt layer from debris and mulm quickly.
