sometimes it almost works but the corners seemed to have switched somehow so my overlapping video looks like a bowtie (bottom right and top right corners swapped for some reason? And then other times it doesn't attach to the clip underneath at all, so when I send layer to front, it does, but it's not tracked to the motion

How to you motion track the clip say if u moved around to make the clip stay in the tracking zone ?

If you mean the the movement is really heavy in your clip you should probably extend the first-bigger square to let the program know it should search in a bigger area. Hope that helped!!

Sooo I've followed this step by step with no tracking resolve. Arranging and bringing the desired clip to the front literally just pushes the video to the top of the layer instead of applying tracking data to the corners of said clip... did I miss something or did you? Other than that, superb video bro! Well executed... just need to be clear with the instructions (If something was missed that is... I'm sure there's something I'm not checking right 🤷‍♂️ ).

Hii bro :) It’s sound like you haven’t done following step: After the tracking of the corners you first need to click „apply“ then all the tracking data should be copied on the clip. Then follow with the steps „bring layer to front“. Let me know if that helped ! ☺️

@@PeterKae still nothing for me, but I had a few other clips in the sequence so I don't know if that impacted it. my base layer (background) shows that the corner pin has tracked what it needs to, but the other clip does nothing when I go to layer arrange bring to front. How does that layer connect to the background layer? I don't understand where that step comes in? There's no null object that you have to apply something to?

@@PeterKae Its not that your video was bad, maybe a bit too fast in areas to follow. But the 4 points just didn't want to track at all. But I was able to find another way that did work. I'm glad Adobe products give you like 10+ ways to do something.
