Persia and Greece - Objects in Focus: Lekythos

This video is suitable for students aged 14+ who are studying Classical Civilisation and Ancient History at GCSE and A level. It is one of a series of 4 videos considering the relationship between the worlds of ancient Greece and Persia by focusing in on a specific object and contextualising that object within its broader ancient world context.
In this video, through investigating the scene painted onto this Lekythos, Professor Lloyd Llewellyn-Jones, (Cardiff University), considers how the ancient Greeks imagined the Persians.
