If you only want the steps to make something, like those vids shot from above with no people, no conversation no nuthin - then we are absolutely not for you. But if you wanna a little fun while you learn, then this is the place.
Cooking doesn’t have to be hard, it just has to be delicious.

sure does. question is do you have the 300 dollars it would take to buy the steak and other ingredients he used to make it and replicate it? Obviously not including the 10's of thousands of dollars for the actual cooking equipment he is using and than telling everyone to "do this at home".

Hey Sam! Like the idea of Valentine’s steak night at home. LOVE your recipes. CHEERS to you all my friends 🍻
Good advice, the last thing Sam says. Another Valentine's day loving myself. 😆
Somebody needs to invent some kind of machine that would chop up whole-seed spices. Maybe give it a name like Spice Grinder.

The asparagus fries look incredible! Great job guys!
So since watching this a few weeks ago, I’ve substituted the beef for pork tenderloin. It was amazing. This week it was a meatloaf with crumbled blue cheese in the mix and a coating of crushed black peppercorns, served with peppercorn cream sauce. Again amazing. Thanks to the STCG crew for the inspiration!!!!

Literally called Pork au Poivre. But if you didn't add minced shallot to the pan before the brandy, you didn't actually make the proper sauce.
Hey Sam, I was wondering if you could thrown in a vegan recipe now and then or make one episode dedicated to plant based cooking. :)
MAX you literally had me rolling on the floor with your choad comment and then the banter back and forth about it between you two. You killed me! Love a great Au Poivre, too! Yum 😋

Made this last night. Instead of the oven I put the steaks in my smoker to finish them. That combined with the sauce is a PU**Y MAGNET!!! thanks!

Grabbing the woody end, about in the middle, is the best!
Another amazing recipe however I’ve just been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes so would love some good recipe suggestions.
We definitely need a dessert from you on Monday!!!
Pro tip: Put w/e in the egg batter first and then in the flower. The batter will always stick while the flower won't. And at the end of the day, it's still an egg/flower mix no matter which one went first on the product.
Sam, I usually love your cooking. I felt that the whole recipe was inspired. I loved the paneyed asparagus and the thick steaks. What was with the olive oil instead of a neutral oil?
Definitely gonna smash with this one!! 🍻 boys
Thank you Sam and crew! One of my favorite recipes, nicely done. I worked in the restaurant business for many years and the worst days for us were Valentines and Mother's Day. The expectations of the customers were brutal. If they were not getting along on the date or to impress Mom we were the first to get it! Great episode!
What do I need on Valentine’s Day? A Valentine’s
Love is appreciating an afford like this, and not worrying about what your pee or farts may smell like afterwards.
Seems REALLY peppery
Fabulous cook Sam, PERFECTION FOR VALENTINES DAY❤💵Cheers 🍻
Happy Valentines Day That Looks So Awesome
I love how much you love pepper ❤️
When covering the meat completely with pepper, the white and black pepper must be roasted first to become milder. Then you crush it.
Hey Sam, nice easy recipe for valentines, my wife swears by Parisian essence, cream, brandy and pepper in her pepper sauce. (French heritage), she wasn’t a fan of the Dijon mustard and cleaning out the pan of all that goodness 😂
Beautiful! 😋😋😋
I think you are my second favorite Canadian. Obviously, Alex is #1. Sam #2. Mike Myers, 3. Brian Boytonno...who knows. Oh, and I did love The Urban Peasant.
We always used the fixins on the bottom of the cast iron, and just dried off the grease. No need to throw away flavor

Made this tonight for Valentine’s Day. Made it exactly like Sam except I drizzled Mike’s hot honey over the asparagus. Everything was fan-freaking-tastic!
Lol!!! You're the reason I watch this Chanel. Thank you for cooking for guys like me.
This looked so good I had to cook it tonight, but yesterday I had Asian beef and cabbage stir fry which was insane. Might try the spicy version, oh snap Sam that's a great idea for a dinner video lol.
I take 4 asparagus stalks and wrap them with a slice of bacon. Sprinkle a little pork rub on them and grill to crisp the bacon 😋
I always cook pork chops mashed potatoes and asparagus for Valentine's day for the wife. It's her favorite. I did the panko asparagus this year. Both of us loved it. Thanks Sam!
Happy Valentines Day Fellas, Great Job

Awesome! I have to make that for myself. My woman does not like heat. Maybe I will use those little red cinnamon hearts for her instead of the peppercorns.
why not use the peppercorn mix to season the panco and floor for breading ?
I don't think I could get everything finished at the same time unless I had two ovens. How many people actually do have two ovens? Am I the only person left who doesn't?
@tonimorris2083
Жыл бұрын
I got a KitchenAid range last year, it has dual ovens. A smaller top oven to heat a pizza or single casserole then the larger lower oven also has a convection function. It has been a total game changer & I love it!
You should not pour brandy on the hot pan directly from the bottle. There is fire hasard there. Use a cup or something as transfer container. Nice video though.
Perfect. You are an inspiration mate. Also bloody funny! :)
The asparagus idea is dope. Never thought of that.
Steak is for March 14th!! IYKYK
Looks good! But the timing really only works if you have two ovens- very different finishing temperatures. 😓
Love it! I booked an air Bnb for vacation. Ideas for minimal kitchen tools and quick recipes for vacation?
Happy Valentine’s Day fellas!
Look at that restaurant quality dish!!
LOVE pepper!! 👍👍
why don"t they have a LOVE button on here. Damn that was so funny Sam.
Sam, I love your videos! Specifically, how completely authentic your videos are when you’re a “novice” chef, like me (I use more than my share of choice words). I’ve turned several guys onto your channel & they have continued to share with their friends & family. I have a question regarding cooking steaks. Typically, I would order my steak prepared “Medium.” However, now (do to a health condition) I have to have all meats & fish cooked to the appropriate temperature, so I order/prepare my steaks Medium-Well. How do you make sure that the steak is still tender & flavorful? 10:01
Someone really needs to get Chance to clean that sink.
When you lit the brandy on fire and Max yelled "OMG!" I almost spit my drink straight out my nose.

This should be seen by the ladies for March 14th. IYKYK. #DSC Show!
Kitchen looks different with the smooth white backsplash and window trim
Of course the cast iron pan had to go on sale less than a week after I ordered it. Oh well, still looking forward to using it!
How about a Siracha Hollandaise dipping sauce for the asparagus?
That steak looks well done!!! That ruined the episode completely for me. It still looks soft-ish, but the colour....no way man.
5:35....SAM... if you run a peeler over the bottom of the Asparagus the meat is tender and you can eat it all... just like the stems of broccoli.. it's wonderful and no need to waste any of it.
Sam that simply looks delicious. Thank you for sharing. ❤❤😮
Definitely a cool asparagus video. Also, the most basic au poivre recipe I've ever seen, missing essential ingredients. Great for a corner diner! If you know what that is in LA.
