    a strange pairing of Pinot Gris having more to do with the morel cream sauce then the filet. just to say that in Alsace, it is not unusual to either order a local Pinot Noir or a powerful riesling with meat, but this is for those more brave than me. I still scratch my head about pairing filet or ribeye with pinot, cab, or a rhone varietal depending on the fat content of the meat best to leave it to the experts, eat, drink and enjoy. Cheers!
