I do wonder why they aren't connected to the first column of holes. Always good to hear your voice, Collin.

Same here. I think it's so your can run a wire to any hole of your preference. It would theoretically be less wasted potential hole usage.

sometimes they are but it's rare in new boards
Amazing, I usually use them for potentiometers that don't quite fit the holes, or as a ground rail.
Nice, I have been trying to figure out what to do with them.
These are leftovers from eurocards port modules used in lab instruments f.e. custom bridges, voltage comparators or other usefull circuits used in labs.
