Nathan is speaking absolute facts right now. This was an absolute loss for Percy and he was very lucky to have been saved by his father in which way the gods are rarely ever allowed to intervene. Just because he's alive now doesn't mean it's not a loss.

Athena is often depicted as a good willed Goddess, patron of a lot of heroes like Aquilles and Odysseus, the protector of Athens. But she was also incredibly spiteful as we saw with Medusa and now Annabeth, she had no problem endorsing wars, she organized the Greeks against Troy after Paris didn't choose her as the most beautiful. I swear she’s the goddess of petty or spite

Nathan was 100% right. Y’all were practically begging for Poseidon or even Athena, who literally allowed them into her sanctuary in the first place, to come save Percy so to say that Echidna and Chimera aren’t scary or a threat is WILD! Percy was definitely going to fall to his death so that counts as a defeat, he had to be saved by an outside force aka his dad. He was also just lucky bc Athena, Zeus and basically any other god would’ve just let their child die or possibly turned them into a tree at the last moment which is basically death. At this point in the story those two would have definitely killed the trio with like minimum difficulty 🤷🏽‍♂️

They defeated Percy only reason Percy got out of it is because Posiedon stepped in. Trust me if Echidna was really trying and using her full power at the level Percy’s at right now he would die. And Posiedon isn’t always reliable and him helping is a rare occurrence.

Didn't expect the intense discussion. Percy though was defeated, it was his first defeat. He wasn't killed, he was saved, but he did not win that fight, he literally fell to his death. So if Poseidon didn't save him, he would be dead. Does someone always needs to die to be considered defeated?

Always keep in mind that Percys dad is not always benevolent and there for Percy. He is a god with flaws and can not be relied on. To think Percy is untouchable is a huge mistake lol

I love Athena but the thing about greek gods is they have faults too. She is extremely prideful and spiteful. Also Nathan is absolutely correct in the beginning, knew I liked him since teen wolf

I’m sry y’all arguing but Cameron literally said smtg about he’s not worried anymore cuz Percy got saved but before that they was sitting there sweating and begging for sm1 to come save Percy indicating they were worried for his life🫠 so y’all saying that ekidna and the chimera wasn’t making y’all scared for Percy or worried is not matching up with how was reacting to it. I can agree ekidna just looks like a regular woman and the chimera graphic was done great but it would’ve made me more fearful if the chimera was about to blast him with fire as he was hanging. Overall she doesn’t look scary but they weren’t really tryna kill him and he still kinda lost technically since he didn’t kill the beast and would’ve died if he didn’t get saved

This is a show for kids which is why they also didn’t show medusas head getting cut off and also Poseidon won’t always be there for Percy and this is showing just how much better Percy will he to get to be a hero

Teen Wolf's Chimeras are based on Greek Mythology so yeah it's close enough. In teen wolf the chimeras are a combination of supernatural beings (for example, Tracy being part Werewolf and part Kanima and Theo being part Werewolf and part Werecoyote). Teen Wolf does pull a lot from the Greek Mythology, from the Furies reference and connection in season 2 (When Matt explains his story) to Lycan's story (mentioned in season 3A when Gerard explains it to talk about Deuchalion) and the Chimeras on season 5. They also do it with North Mythology when they use mistletoe as a poison and a cure like in the myth where Loki causes the death of Baldur.

15:20 Percy assumed his father would never help him because he never did. So taking him to a river to heal him from poison would never have worked. He would have never made it to Hades. It would be logical if he stayed behind to give the other two a chance to escape.

I get what you’re all saying.For example in Harry Potter,you were scared Harry was going to die.Even though he’s a main character.Yeah Klaus was genuinely terrifying.Yeah thought they was a chance she could die.They same with Klaus hybrids even through they were new Hybrids.Even him just having one in the beginning they were still a threat.

Medusa is not a god but she has two sisters more dangerous sisters lol and monsters also slowly reform in the worst part of the underworld (tartarus) , some take a short time , a week , a month , but others decades or centuries etc

The Vampire Diaries and Stranger Things are different from Harry Potter and Percy Jackson. Figure out the difference? Yeah the latter shows literally have the main character's name on their title. So those characters would definitely never die in their respective shows. Unlike Vampire Diaries or Stranger Things, where any character can die and it can continue because it's not their name on the title.
