Bestie yeah I do have the personality traits of being introvert but its also easy for me to make friends and i got alot so I don't which one of them, but I think I prefer being an introvert cuz it feels good being alone

I have literally every single one of these introverted traits. A little side note when it comes to loyalty, when an extrovert's friend betrays them, it can be difficult to repair that loyalty, but when an introvert gets betrayed it can be almost impossible to fix. On top of that, when an introvert's loyalty is slighted most tend to become epically vindictive and resentful. So yeah... fair warning.

I'm an extrovert but I like being alone...people are irritating. Understand that you can reach out to people when YOU want to...most folks are a pain. You don't have to be a shy, retiring type to like being by yourself, you just have to know what you like and have the cojones to do what you want to do and devil take the rest. Loners don't have to be introverts, they just have to be strong enough to do what they want to and not care what others think.

Being alone makes me more comfortable than hanging out with people who doesn't really care about you.

Introverts love to spend time alone and sometimes forget to talks. 2. There's a type of introvert that worry with what peoples said. Yea, kinda shy but yea..... U no? 3. @@BestieHealth lonely is a feeling therefore subjective, you're not lonely unless you feel lonely, alone is a literal physical state, it just means there is nobody around you. As for quiet and not shy i think that is obvious, some people just aren't good socially and don't know how to hold a conversation or start a new one or simply don't care for one.

No kidding its so hard to talk to some people without getting an argument these days..mostly the egomaniacs .. I just agree and slowly slip away and the pessimists i love because they just know everything isn't gonna work.. I love proving them wrong, and they still insist on arguing to the death..it does get old, very seldom do I run across someone who can actually have a down to earth conversation about just anything. Those are far and few..in my neck of the woods.Most days everyone wants to argue that their right and everyone else is wrong,, well if their right and everyone else is wrong then wtf are they trying to prove then? That their an idiot ..well they passed that test..with flying colors ..i give them a 4.5 star rating, i took .5 away for not being totally honest with themselves. LO!

I used to be a social butterfly when I was younger. As I’ve gotten older and see how people have changed for the worst (especially with social media making people narcissistic, self-centered, selfish, etc), I’m good on people in general. People nowadays have the emotional intelligence level of an elementary student.

I saw a photo from the 60s. The scene was a commuter train with people heading to work in the morning. 90% of the people were reading newspapers. None was talking to the other - heads buried in paper. Fast forward to 20th century and the papers have been replaced by phones. People have not changed, they have always been. When younger, you were FITTING IN, exercising rote behaviour learnt in society where you are constantly told to socialise. When older, your REAL SELF (in your case introvert clearly) emerges and you start to LIVE!

chandan halder, you've never thought that you might enjoy life more by being with people a little bit more. You've never had the desire to improve your social skills. You don't think you might look back one day and think it might have been nicer if you had someone to love or more friends? I just wish more people instead of labeling themselves introverts would try to seek help and maybe try to improve their social skills. I would hate to think of what it would be like to spend your entire life alone and then look back on it and regret it. I'm not sending this out to embarrass you this is not an argument. You don't need to respond either this is not an attack. Just please try to think about what I'm pointing out. There's a real thing called social anxiety disorder, the fear of being around people in close proximity. Many obese people call themselves plus-sized. Society is turning to people using too many euphemisms these days, so instead of improving our selves we hide behind a label to make life easier. spending most of your life alone because it's less scary sure it's more comforting. That would be true for all of us including me people can be monsters they can be horrible. But learning more about people and learning to stand up to them can make much more pleasant

It's not that I dislike other people, it's just that I almost always seem to feel better when they aren't around me.

I enjoy spending quality time alone. It gives me an Opportunity to do self evaluation and do a lot of soul searching.

Yeah you can love being alone but do you love your life? Loving being alone doesn't always mean that it's the right choice, it could just be a comfort zone and that's why you love it. If you love your life and you do spend 95% of your time alone then yeah you're good to go

I feel a lot better alone. The more people I know and the personality the less I like people at all. Course makes me love animals even more .With animals if they like you they let you know. Tails wagging,kisses and happy to see you. If they don't like you,you know it. People are fake. They talk to you about other people. Makes you wonder what they say about you to others. Its alot easier to be with animals that love you

I can't stand FAKE PEOPLE !!!!!!!!!!!!!! And, I can spot them instantly! Everything they do that's fake, when they say something that is disingenuous or they copy someone else's personality, it makes me sick. I worked with this one girl who originally came over from the UK working as a nanny and ended up applying for citizenship. Her personality was so fake. It was like she must have watched every single one of Marilyn Monroe's movies and copied every personality trait of hers. She was in her 30's but her boyfriend that she lived with was 65. Of course, she didn't have to pay any rent. So she had her whole salary to spend on herself. Can you imagine talking with someone all day for eight long hours that spoke and moved about like Marilyn Monroe, except she had a Czech accent that went along with it! Oh, and BTW, she looked nothing like Marilyn Monroe! And, she would come on to all of the much older males who were in senior positions at the company. Anytime she interacted with them she would literally pose herself either against a desk or lean into the frame of the door way and she would move her body seductively and throw back her head as she laughed! And she did a lot of hugging with only the males in the office. One of our senior salesmen is named 'Dexter' who's in his late 60's (he's the spitting image of the late actor 'Marty Feldman' in the vintage movie "Frankenstein") because he has a 'lazy eye' and he smokes cigs like a chimney in Siberia burns through wood and he has false teeth. She used to call him 'Sexy Dexy'! When she quit, he ran off with his fist in his mouth crying like a little schoolgirl! It was quite a 'show' when she worked there, you just never knew what she would be up to! She was highly manipulative. She was a complete narcissist! I'm so happy that she's gone!

I've allways considered myself an introvert, ever since grade school I've allways enjoyed taking and being around older people. People who like having only a few good Loyal friends and solitude.

I hate being around people. It's aggravating and draining. People who don't understand this, always call me out as the strange one!

Each every point about an introvert defines me the best ...nd i prefer to be alone ..

I'm highly introverted. I've been accused of being "stuck up", bashful, shy, unintelligent, weird, and a push over. None of which, is true. It's tough to keep freinds that are extroverted. They don't understand why I never want to hang out, or decline invitations to parties. Unfortunately, most people I meet are extroverts.

Mark Brown: Know what you mean. Statistically, 75% of Americans are extroverted; 25% introverted. Haven't looked for stats for rest of world. So it is no wonder that most "news" is in soundbites, & why details of the news is at the proverbial "11P.M." hour because extroverts aren't really interested in facts--they like making up what "could be," rater than what is, & would never "waste" their time staying up to get any facts. The late hour detailed news is not during "prime time" when extroverts are more interested in soap opera drama programming, or they are too busy socialising in the evenings. The majority of extroverts drives the fast-food business; electronic communications devise use; soundbites that scroll across the tv screen during news broadcasts; headlines on the front page, but with the details on some back page because extroverts would not read the details anyways, etc. Personally, extroversion gives me the creeps because it is so vacuous, superficial, major time-wasting activity, & nobody truely relates to anybody else, because they don't listen-they talk over each other, & don't remember much of what was said. I could go on, but dont need to. I like people, & can hang at a party with the best of them, & be the loudest among them, throwing ridiculous quips left & right, & circulating like a debutante, but I need to be in the mood. If a get-together is too far in the future, I may not attend because I may rather be elsewhere when the time finally arrives. I "turn on" my sociable-ness. When the day is over, I am relieved to be able to go someplace quiet, peaceful, & non-socially demanding, in order to re-charge myself. What irritates me the most is when I am being myself, enjoying the day, & because I do not wear a clown smile all day, I get it from extroverts (have to be): "Cheer up. Why are you so sad?" A CALM, THOUGHTFUL COUNTENANCE on someone else's face (mine) is something an extrovert cannot handle. They look to others to bolster them up. They need people around them with inane circus energy to feel alive. Extroverts are not able to be self-sustaining nor self-sufficient. I haven't come up with an adequate response to that "cheer up" remark that will shut them up, without having to wearily explain the obvious to them....that which is obvious except to an extrovert, who are not readily sensitive to people, & who usually speak before they think. I have been tested as an "outgoing introvert," & I always have a smile for everybody. But the smile does not mean I am ready to party down. Yeah, it can be hard being in the minority.

People are exhausting, that's why I prefer to be alone; introvert. I can't socialize for too long. The moment I am tired of socializing, I won't even move one muscle on my face to smile: that's how tired I get from socializing. Also, I am outgoing actually. I like walking to the library, I'd go to the beach alone if there weren't always creeps there, I'd go to shopping malls, walk around, get food then sit to read for hours, alone.

I LOVE BEING ALONG THESE DAYS PEOPLE SO FULL OF SH"" IT"S SO UNREAL THE GAMES THEY PLAY. PLAY MORE GAMES THAN THE NBA, OR NFL !!!

I have been right in the middle on almost every personality test I've taken, but after age 40 I began acknowledging a preference towards an introverted personality. I simply need time alone like most need time with people. I do not need to compete, do not like conflict, prefer quiet deep conversation, and a few close friends over many. In fact I not only cringe, I tire easily around loud boisterous people and develop headaches. It's the same in crowds. I now accept that much of the lack of a strong preference on tests was that I wanted to be more of an extrovert like my mother and sisters and the cool people. When I look I was more of a 'wanna be extrovert'. But the truth is I've always been more introverted. I think the real difference is that I know longer need to be an extrovert to be accepted, I've developed enough confidence and self acceptance to be the genuine me, an introvert but nature who loves to read, write, draw, paint, and create things quietly. I'm a homebody who likes people, a few close friends but mostly time alone. I spend a lot of time thinking and see solutions. I prefer to discuss solutions than problems. Once a problem is identified I like to move on to solving the problem. It was incredibly difficult growing up in a home full of people pleasing exroverted popular talkative boisterous partiers. To further crush my confidence as an introvert, I was bullied at school for being such a studious serious extremely shy introvert making honor roll every semester. I guess the truth is I tried somewhat successfully as a teen and young adult to bury my tendency to introversion, my authentic self. This doesn't mean I do not like people. I enjoy friends, but like I tell Ms. V " We are friends but I don't need or want company or external entertainment and stimulation as often as you and others do."

I loved being a lone and hate doing work with other people during school work

Exactly. Often people try to get "cute" and tell a whole a story "So I was walking...".. Cuts them off: Ok, stop right there. I aint got time for this shit. Just tell what happened and stfu. The guy who made this video is the reason... *Makes a video about introverts* Right when I thought he's on to something.. he HAD to throw extroverts out there to close the video... Which has NOTHING to do with the topic. These social rats always find a way to make it seem like they're on "on top" of introverts. Because they're scared. Introverts are independent.

"Interesting" (90percent true)I was always worried that why I observe people's and like to be alone.Never do much conversation on normal topic and even ignored those kind of people. Doesn't like people who play word tricks to get their own mean rather asking directly would work much better on me. Often predict and understand what they really mean or would say.sounds crazy but since childhood I like to observe people and how they react 😂😂

One thing that bothers me about talking with some people is that they more worry about feelings rather than facts. I have a hard time since when i work i get to be in charge when my supervisor is on vacation and i need to talk to them same way i talk to my 7 little girl so they don't get their feeling hurt.

Relationships always involve risk and danger. You could be raped you could be killed. Someone can sell your organs on the black market. Someone can move in and refuse to leave. Someone can beat you up everyday and destroy everything you own. Or you can just have a nice friend. Or you can enjoy a relationship with someone who also cares about you. But that does involve risk. Is it really worth it???????

I was really outgoing when I was young....then I grew up, had lots of real life experiences with people... now I’m pretty much an introvert and I love it!

This seems to be a perfect platform for me. I talk less, roam less, joke less.. .. I like being with myself rather than pleasing others.

I consider myself to be antisocial, yet I force myself to socialize. So when I am around people I becomme very out going funny and the guy that everyone wants to be around. But for the most part it feels like a job and drains my energy.

I hate other people's energy....some people have the most irritating or aggressive vibes, I can sense this in some peeps (introvert) 😁

julie sheme , whether you're an introvert or extrovert you're supposed to avoid aggressive irritating people anyway. Never tolerate people like that. And the thing is you shy people get stuck with people like that because you're afraid of hurting their feelings. I love people and I'm an extrovert but let's face the fact most people are fucking assholes. I understand that you're a female in that well men are going to try to be forceful and impose themselves. I think it's a lot better and safer for you to be kind of upfront and let the man know or let the woman know you're not very interested. Cuts down on you having to hurt feelings or have them linger in your life and bother you.

That’s when pets can be a help. I live alone, don’t really like the company of most people, but don’t want to feel lonely, so my dog helps with that.

In my work life I'm surrounded by people and customers. I'm good at my job, and actually enjoy it, but when on vacation and days off, I don't seek out people or even speak, happily spending days alone reading and wandering the woods. My job gives me the "daily recommended dose" of human contact but outside that, I am far happier on my own.

I love being alone cause I can do what I want when I want and not get criticised for it and I feel more comfortable. I think I'm both an extrovert and introvert cause of the points are applicable to me.

I’ve always viewed those in constant need of companionship as insecure. It’s as if they can’t stand their own company, yet choose to inflict it upon others..

I’m an Empath so it gets too noisy around large crowds. I do a lot of thinking & thinking about the past & the future - trying to understand life, myself & others. And being an artist- I paint & design best when I’m alone & can think about possibilities easier & my creative flow is smoother when I can work alone. I read & research A Lot!

as an introvert i like peace and quiet, but occasionally i do try to connect with people and develop a small circle of friends.my problem is as an introvert i am difficult to relate to,so ...no friends. people don't want to take the time to understand an introvert because we are complicated people.in general people like simple and that's not me.

Agreed. It's hard to get people to understand we need our space. It's like don't get me wrong, I don't mind hanging out, but why does it have to be every single weekend? People get mad when I try and explain that I'm just not that much of a social person. They also have this perception that we don't talk much. That's not the case. Chances are if I'm interested in it, I'll carry on that conversation all day.

Cosmic Ocean Horror That’s exactly what happened to me also. I even had to go as far as to change my phone number because my friends just wouldn’t accept the fact that I didn’t feel like hanging out every weekend. I really liked being with them but I also like being alone, something they simply couldn’t understand and they ended up sort of stalking me. It was becoming increasingly uncomfortable and eventually I ended up severing the friendship all together. I felt like a horrible person because I really liked them. But to me a real friendship means you’ll accept the other for who he or she is and in that way I didn’t feel accepted. But it hurt nonetheless..

I don't have any "friends" either, but my definition of the word is a lot more strict than that of most people. I do have some acquaintances, some fairly close. Even though I'm quiet, and have little to say unless something is worth saying, some people seem to like me anyway, and enjoy being with me. Even when I'd rather be alone I let those people hang out with me, because I know that some human interaction is necessary for good mental and emotional health.

You need time alone to re-charge your own batteries....

I agree with all of this. It’s the evaluation of one’s own thoughts along with the desire to find truth that makes all those qualities possible.

I enjoyed the video. So true on introverts. I am an introvert. Like to be around people when I want to be around them. I enjoy being alone or in the company of people I like. No drama, or fake people. 😌

Solitude is addictive. When you are alone you are free and that’s priceless. I feel so incredibly confortable by my own that it’s a drag to hang out with so-called “friends” from time to time.
