Yes, this needs to be dealt with at source. If you look on Google Maps, you will see that they are passing through at least six countries to get here. Under international law, they should be stopping at the first safe country they enter into if they are genuinely fleeing from persecution. Disabled people in the UK are going to be losing benefits and being sent to work even though they are incapable because the UK government is spending all taxpayers money on these illegal economic migrants. My biggest problem is with France. They know exactly where the smugglers are buying the black rubber dinghies from. They should stop the supply. Now the UK is no longer a part of the European Union, the government should impose sanctions on France for allowing this to continue.

This is the only sensible solution and would benefit everyone except the criminal gangs. Returning them to France would smash the traffickers' business model. Who is going to stump up money to have a round trip in a leaky dinghy? Once word gets out, the migrant camps will vanish from Calais, Dunkirk and other coastal towns. This is a win for France, because migrants won't even bother to enter the country if there is no prospect of reaching Britain. The French asylum system is much stricter than ours so the pull will not be there. It's a win for us because we can then only let documented people into the country. It is a sort of win for the migrants because they will not have to risk their lives Of course it won't happen because it is the French, and they loathe us. It's amusing that the bleeding hearts at Channel bore news have posted this video expecting an outpouring of grief, yet all of the comments are in favour of the policy. It beggars belief that the supposed journalists at BBC, ITN and SKy are so out of touch with the views of British people. It makes one wonder how much else they get wrong. Channel 4 is a left leaning channel. The optimism and virtue signalling in this one is strong. Of course channel 4 itself does not have to search for a house to live in, which the ordinary briton finds increasingly harder to find, the more people arrive. This of course suits landlords as it breeds competition for houses and drives up rents. I'm currently being made homeless through no fault of my own, no help from the government whatsoever. In two weeks time I will be homeless. I suggest you look at some vids of Kigali. It's way nicer and much much cleaner than London. One of the reasons for that is that once a month EVERYONE must take a day off work and together they go out and clean and maintain the city...including the President. It resembles Switzerland more than Africa, and London is more like what you imagine Africa to be like.

I want something a little less to the left. Reform is far too much to the right for my liking. And since the conservatives are far from being conservative i wont vote for them either. Labout is far too left but after years of a right wing government i am willing to give them a try as they seem to be the only ones, due to first past the post, that could win.

That refugee welcome here sign made me laugh. %100 of those who come on boats are not refugees but economic migrants who arrive illegally. Dont confuse the two. People in calais who are from iraq, pakistan and who knows where else travelled through any number of safe countries and refused to apply for asylum in any of them. Why is that? They did not even want to apply for asylum in france which apart from its people is a lovely country. France is safe.

This is also a two way agreement... Rwanda can send people to the UK as well.

How much cheaper would it be to reach a deal with the French to station British troops on French soil to stop 100% of boat crossings. Probably 100x cheaper and we know why it's not being done - because it would be effective, and if there's no immigration increasing year-by-year the government can't maintain the state pension.

Asylum seekers are NOT illegal! If the government made legal routes available it would stop people taking dangerous routes to come here. Nobody talks about migrants the UK brings in legally to fill vacancies. Why not let asylum seekers work?

The video is telling you the physical cost Brits are paying to send these people back to Rwanda and the government is getting a kickback for taking them in. The citizens have lost while they think they are winning because immigrants are being kicked out. The emotional and psychological damage being done to the people being sent back is even more payment that Brits are adding because it’s heinous to send them back to a place they barely survived escaping.
