Qatar looks incredible with their fabulous planned communities, luxury hotels. Search internet photos of Qatar and that place looks very futuristic. They should accept immigrants. Blame the Govt for major cut backs to our Military...Nato is busy deploying them elsewhere either for so-called peacekeeping or training other militaries. Do you think our Military like this? With cut backs in budgets, contracting out on most things they are not in a position to do this. The recent announcement last week of more funding is a drop in the bucket but welcome never-the-less, they need to double that amount to start with and stop contracting out.

This needs stopped at them beaches for everyone's sake . They want to come to England and Ireland because they've been told it's a free one .

In France they live in the sand dunes but the British give them hotels .

As long as this government makes it so attractive to come here the boats will not stop. Rwanda flights need to be operating daily to act as a deterrent, otherwise it's a waste of time and taxpayers money.

That is exactly what they are saying! Rwanda is not the answer....the weak Govt has to Deport immediately. NO benefits, secure compound in tents, out in the moors until they are sent back to where they came from.

There's a very easy way to stop these boats arriving, but every time I put it in a 'post' I get threatened by KZread for my comments.

Yep, mine included navy and gunfire but YT binned it too. If our cowardly politicians are worried about the reactions of certain demographics at home, I say to hell with them it would only expose their true agenda. Better to get it overwith now, than in another 20 or 30 years, when it will be much more difficult.

No asylum seeker has ever been put up in a hotel with five star service. Some have been put in hotels, yes - but the government negotiates a bulk price on the accommodation for just the rooms and not much else.

It's obviously worth their while to risk everything to leave what is a holiday destination for many to come to England, what are they getting here that they can't get in Europe? I can only imagine. There are too many of them massing on the French coast.

They should have a boat that returns them whence they came from. One of our former prime ministers did that - returned them to Indonesia. It stopped them at the time.
