Maybe simply because she felt like her dad took the decision for her and with that didn't respect her as a person . As a person with anxiety who needed help ,but still a person who choosed not to ask this question, the reason didn't matter. And maybe she felt bad bc she was mad or disappointed in herself for not being able to ask this question herself.

Fighting through text message is like the worst thing possible. So many misunderstanding along the way. Things dont come off the way you thought it would in your head or in person. I would avoid this at all cost. Its best to argue in person. Fight the urge to response so quick and possibly ruin a relationship or friendship or w.e . You can also make the other person super anxious. Thank you for showing that this is not the way to go lol.

I actually prefer fighting over text because it allows me to think out my responses and not get overwhelmed with emotion. I don't think the friend needs to be that dramatic either though. She forgot to text him. It happens, I'm sure she would've apologized more in depth, but it was over text. He could've also texted her and been like where you at after 30 minutes, and when he didn't get a response leave and come back later. The fault is shared. Nothing is perfect. Let's fix what we can but always remember we can't control other's actions.

This could kinda go both ways. With texts you get more time to collect yourself and think out a response before sending it. You can also take a day or two before responding. Calls can be helpful because you can hear tone, but its way harder to control what you say and your response time is cut a lot shorter.

Watching this video makes me feel really grateful that I have the friends and boyfriend that I do. (To anybody out there who has fights w their friends a lot: maybe you should read this, it might help) if there’s ever a problem, and somebody in my friend group can tell that somebody is getting heated, we try to deescalate the situation and talk things out calmly. If it’s ever over text, by the grace of god, my friends and I call each other to talk things out over the phone. Being petty and letting your anger out can feel really, really satisfying, don’t get me wrong; but at the end of the day, it won’t make your problems go away. Over the past year or so, I’ve changed a lot as a person because of the friends who have let me feel comfortable with being vulnerable. I no longer feel the need to put up a guard that’s made of anger to keep people from getting to me, I can just let go for a second and talk things out. It’s nice :) But yeah thanks for coming to my TedTalk

Saying how good she was off without me, had somebody better now, and how much of a dick I appearently was. The part that hurted the most was that I never hurted or did her wrong, and only ever wanted best for her, plus the breakup was from her side.. And somehow she felt the need to send those texts..

I recently had a month long argument with two friends (a married couple). It went from me trying to apologize, to them attacking me, to them being upset that I was defending myself. They attacked my character, they played the victim, they played God, and it got so heated over text. I begged them to just meet up with me in person, just for them to lie to me about agreeing to talk in person. This huge fight all started the last time we saw each other in person, and as I remember it, I had excused myself calmly and left with my boyfriend. I told them both I needed to calm down and that I would talk with them later. After that, they just kept picking fights through text. Talk your problems out in person. Don’t hide behind your phones. I really wish they could have shown me that respect.

Ivan Jimenez i will say many people struggle to relay the difference between anxiety and severe nervousness. They’re very similar and feel very similar, but the main difference is nervousness is brought on by something (so for you, driving made you feel that way) but with anxiety, it doesn’t really directly come from anything and that’s what makes it so hard to confront. So when someone says “x makes me anxious” more often than not, they’re really misusing the word.
