My favorite thing about the “Carol of the Bells” video is how they had to stand Scott *in a hole* so as to not have him towering over everybody else and his head stuck up out of frame. 😂

That time when they themselves were the ones carrying their own generator and equipment for this video shoot. I remember Scott saying in an interview that they were looking for a waterfall but couldn't find it so they just stopped at this site - couldn't carry the generator anymore! Btw, Kirstin is a brunette but fond of coloring her hair and wearing wigs

@@lexymich3647 oww I don't know who Mitch has been dating when he had his purple hair haha. Would you know I only started digging up information on them starting last year after The Sound of Silence. It was only then I learned they were TSO winners and only then I learned Avi has been replaced by Matt. I saw their 2015 and 2016 concerts here in Manila but only to accompany my two daughters. Of course we didn't miss the one early this year. They sort of dodged the covid bullet with their Asian tour. @QoFyReacts personally I love the theory he's a reincarnation of the great Freddie Mercury. Freddie died 24 Nov 1991, Mitch was born 24 July 1992...that can't be coincidental, right? It's one conspiracy theory I'm happy to embrace, anyway lol.

Honestly, I can’t pick an absolute favorite part in carol... if i’m singing, it’s mitch or kirstie or back and forth. If it’s just for my preference, it’s Avi. It’s always Avi. His voice is utterly amazing and I love bass lines. Prob cause i’m a soprano and bass notes are so fascinating to me. Also your analysis of carol was awesome and your reaction to dance was hilarious! I agree Mitch is for sure an alien. I think all of them might be aliens though. But Mitch is confirmed haha

"Carol of the Bells" is done with a nod to the old musical style once called a "rondeley" which is a basically a renaissance style. You have to remember that Scott has a CRAZY-wide pitch range and will often take over the bass line when their true bass (Avi or later, Matt) is taking lead. It is good that you have some experience in choir work so that you can pick out the parts and show proper appreciation for what each one is doing.

Their spin on these classics are so creative. All of their individual participation is essential. I love that you can focus on each part and the ensemble and hear everything so clearly. I have favorite part every 15 seconds so there... lol. You highlighted most of them. The perfect vocal puzzles. When you are part of a choir ensemble and you practice and hear the result of all the parts put together, you get a thrill, an excitement, you feel like you grow wings. Love your comments and reaction. 🤗

Believe me, nobody of Pentatonix is normal. Avi's voice is lower than my grades, Scott and Kirstin are more supportive than Zenyatta and Mercy in Overwatch, Kevin's a living drum machine and keyboard, and Mitch is, as you said, alien.

There are a lot of videos of Scott on the piano. On one he’s singing Georgia on my mind and then another one entitled Scott Hoying on the piano in 2004 playing a classical piece. I think you would really enjoy it.

I love all their parts , but can't help that my ears ( and eyes ) are attracted like a magnet to Avi :) ! I love their classic Christmas songs , but my favorite is their original "That's Christmas to me ". Some other favorites are "O Come , All Ye Faithful ", "Mary Did You Know " , "Little Drummer Boy ",and Joy To The World". A very unknown but GORGEOUS song is "Coventry Carol" , I hope you will react to that one during the Christmas season :) ! Well , actually , all their Christmas songs are great !!

Thanks for the PTX reactions. I love when they let their inner "choir nerds" (their description of themselves) out. PTX reaction suggestions: "Mary Did You Know?", "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen", "O Come, All Ye Faithful", "Little Drummer Boy". "White Winter Hymnal" is not technically a Christmas song but was on a Christmas album.

Love your reactions and your attention to the musically details. Their arrangement skills are sick. That's why they won their second Grammy for it. ♥️ Avi is still my favorite but they are all outstanding in their parts. You could do a reaction to every PTX Christmas song starting today and you would be finished around Christmas, that's how many Xmas songs they did already. And even more coming next week when they will release a new Xmas album. Looking forward to more reactions. I love "The first noel" for "Avi" ous reasons but which ever song you choose next you will love it. 😍

So excited to see this pop up in my feed! There are some great moments in these... I don't know if I can really choose a favorite. It's like...choosing a favorite dessert. Do you want something spicy like the percussion, something bright and delicately textured like the high notes, something multilayered and complex like the middle ranges, or something dark and rich like the bass? In the end, if forced, I'll choose Avi. Nothing beats the quality of that sound.

I know the Sugar Plum gets more so having those two together is a real treat. I am glad you got on to Avi being the Signer of the group. I would have to agree with that. Yes, I do miss Avi.
