Alyson Hannigan obviously loved it. No scary things. No gross things. No pointy things. No blood or gore. Just a wholesome magic breakfast.

The real magic: Every single word was in the right place. The 'Pasteurized 2% milk' pun was a gem.

Fun fact: the American Sign Language gesture for 'pasteurized milk' is signing 'milk' (kneading udders) as you move your hands... past your eyes.

I’m just annoyed that didn’t catch the 2% after he said the “98%” part of the dad joke. ;) In fairness, all of those micro-jokes, back to back, did make for a pretty entertaining performance. The magic wasn’t really up to FU quality, but I’m glad he was on the show.

@@patcat8950 Yeah, first thing that popped into my head too. Very succinctly explained, btw. Nice. As you know, ASL is not English (or S.E.), but there is a lot of wordplay humor: Color-ado, Star-bucks (one variant), micro-wave, cents, …
I dont think Fool Us is about fooling at all. Its about showcasing great performances of not so known magic artists, giving them the room to be creative and awesome. Its about the art and entertainment and being known to the world. Very good routine!
What I like about this show is (from what I've seen) even when they don't fool Penn and Teller they still praise the act, and the contestants always seem to be good sports about it. As a fellow michigander it was just cool to see some one from the state on the show.

Hey, Jon, I liked that a lot ! Very clever application of some classic magic principles , which , as it turns out -- no big surprise I guess -- were principles that P&T were familiar with ... But one of the things I love about this show is that the "contest" part of it is not the main focus , it's about presenting quality magical entertainment , so whether you fooled 'em or not , this was very entertaining. I love that you and Jasmine have your own stage and travel around doing your shows together. I hope I'll see you perform in person one of these days.
I can't say I'm surprised that P&T got this one but it was still a great routine. I loved the story/premise to this one.

Simple. Wholesome. Evokes childlike wonder. A+ imo, regardless of how it likely had no chance of fooling the boys... it was just _fun_ 😃❤
Impressive trick! Even more impressive in becoming a fire fighter though. This guy genuinely seems like someone you'd want to hang out with on a regular basis.
I remember a couple of cereals having a selection of potential prizes, so you'd often open a box hoping for specific prize (and rarely ever get it). So having the prize be one the participant selected appealed to me on a very nostalgic level.
One day you should put on a very long magic show and call it "The Jon-a-thon".
I’m always amused that Penn puts things “in code” that everyone can understand and know exactly how it was done. 😂

Knew how you did it, but it's GREAT to see puffery done with real PUFFS.
#JonLachance that was so much fun to watch. Thank you for good clean fun magic illusions. God bless and keep you!
I’m not clear on how it worked and I think it was great. Visually would’ve been nicer if the box would’ve been built with the box art out after reveal. Perhaps that was pertinent to some parts of the truck working though so maybe he couldn’t 🤷🏻♂️
dude could be ina commercial how he held up that spoon fulla cereal and smiled. Love it
This was so good!! We knew what was coming and we watched for it and....we didn't see it.

Some tricks are quite normal but I enjoyed the breakfast story. I think he did a good job.
I loved your trick, really fun, entertaining, clever. Thank you for sharing this :)
Awesome performance but uploaded at wrong aspect ratio...stretched
So genuine and lovely! Well done!!
Wholesome like whole grain cereal. I love tricks like this that don't really feel like a trick at all. Reminded me of when I played with my cereal as a kid. Great work sir!
Love it! Pen and Teller know how the trick works just like an experienced musician can tell by ear what chords another musician is playing, but I'm not a magician and I don't have a clue. It was sensational! 👏👏👏👏👏
Great trick(s), great show and great jokes. Well done :)
Excelente!! Grande número de mágica!! Parabéns!!
I never thought I'd hear a pun as good as past-your-eyes/pasteurized, and in such a perfect context
What a great fella and good samaritan 🎉
Hello from the Up of Michigan! I worked at some magic shops before in Gatlinburg and while this trick has an easy premise, it was executed nicely and in a very fun way! I am pretty sure my kids would love it as well. Great job and keep up the good work!
How in the world?! The box was empty AND he made their choice toy appear! Amazing act, my friend. It blew my mind!
Another one of those wonderful performances that you know aren't going to fool P&T. Yes, the secret is in the box - surprise, not!

This was a fun and very entertaining routine. I'm not even going to try an figure it out. I enjoyed the mystery on this one.
Fantastic! So proud of you. Really well done.
What do you know, I had enough signal here to check it out. I'm no Penn & Teller because it's fooled me. Definitely entertaining. Glad I got to chat with you today.
Amazing! The trick was a real killer, a cereal killer!
great routine! Maybe I liked it because I'm diabetic and can't usually be around "sugar coma in a box" :-) very fun and funny.
Am I the only one thinking that Alyson is either high or drunk? Lmao
the milk is what really got me. the other stuff was great, but doing the same thing with a liquid, that completely blew me away.
Such a great routine and trick!

Seems very simple, but kinda endearing. Definitely feels like something that already was done on Fool Us before here and there. But not all at once.
Great trick, and my hats off to you for becoming a firefighter!

Still very entertaining and smooth!
Nice guy doing a nice performance!
What a wholesome trick. I prefer this kind of harmless trick.
Great stuff!
amazing!
As a child I never came up with Alyson's idea of opening the bag from the other side.
That was so fun !
So many gifted wow
I'm no magician, just a fan of these clips. And even though you didn't fool them, I have to say that it was some pretty nice writing and design, so kudos to you.
The one thing I can't figure out is the prediction. Seemed like a fair choice, no force.
That was awesome

What a pro! Excellent routine, above-average creativity, and confident, expert performance style. Thanks for the entertainment, Jon. I really enjoyed it!
Penn and Teller: nice trick. Didn’t fool us though. Alyson: when can I eat this cereal?
I think Theres partitions in the box hahahaha good idea 👍
That was such a unique routine. Really enjoyable!

you cant fool penn and teller with secret compartments
Great routine, thank you!
Great trick!
Really neat trick. I love trying to figure out what Penn is hinting at with his code talk, and sometimes (like here) I kinda think I know what words he meant for you to hear in there. I'm still absolutely none the wiser, which amuses me greatly. :D

He was basically using names of trick techniques, and it boils down to, there are pouches built in to the seemingly flat box that conceal the cereal and the milk, so he just has to open the pouch to pour it out. And I assume he loaded the glasses from a pocket in a similar way he loaded the spoon from her ear. Oh, and the box would have multiple layers in it, each with a different artwork, so when he opened it he just had to select the proper "page" to match what Allison picked. And after showing the artwork, when he closes it up, the narrow side of the box almost looks like it's bulging, which is where I am guessing the milk is stored. Nice show, pretty standard techniques.
that Spoon 😱
Fantastic! Your delivery was 🎯
I still can't work out where the bowl came from??? I've tried slowing down the playback and I'm still none the wiser!!
The cereal box was partitioned to hold 20 possibilities. The bag was flapped and partitioned too.
Change bag is the key.
Even I could tell how he did it come on. 5 years?

I wonder if it's only 2% of people who never had milk with their cereal. If so, I'm part of that 2%.
