Penn Jillette | Adam Carolla Show | 3/13/2023
Комедия
On today's show, Adam visits Penn Jillette in Las Vegas where the topics range from magic to music. Penn tells the story of how he met his partner Teller, their show which is now the longest running show in Las Vegas history and most tickets sold. He tells us about his new jazz album, the most confident person he'd ever seen on stage and the most famous magicians ever.

Get a nice feeling from this, the guys chilling on a couch chatting is great.
Love Penn and Teller! Great show in Vegas. Love Bullshit too.
I saw Penn and Teller several years ago in Tulsa, OK. They put on a great show and took photos with anyone that wanted one after the show. They are a real class act!!!!
Thank you Adam Carolla and Penn Jillete. I needed this Relaxed conversation.
Kudos Adam.... this is a great interview...really enjoyed the conversation
Penn's putting the weight back on
Amazing interview!
Funny how two people talking on a couch is way better than a setup studio setting.
This is a great setup. Adam by himself is incredible.

Your best show eeevvvver
That was awesome Adam .
Great interview/chat free flowing and interesting. I love how Adam talks about Phil the Juggler, won’t forget him talking about his friends passing for the first time and him crying on the show. Showed some real vulnerability and he really keeps the memory-flame of his friend lit when he talks about him. Thanks guys.
Truly great episode
Over Adam's left shoulder !! The display of goodies, Doritos, etc .... "lol" and them both talking about all the foods and goodies at meetings etc !
Decades ago, I bought a Penn and Teller book of magic tricks and pranks. My favorite is the one where you have a pizza delivered that is decorated like a card that your guest had chosen earlier in the evening. You keep guessing the wrong card, then the pizza shows up and it is the correct card - like a three of clubs made in pepperoni pieces.
I love Penn, it's been so long since he stopped by on the podcart. Remember his classic dop about the face being eating by a tiger? haha
Had to laugh at that section about bottled water. I bang on about this all the time. The bottled water industry are full of geniuses. 40 years ago people went all day without water but now no-one dare leave the house without bottled water. A global multi-billion dollar industry generated from literally nothing. Kudos.
Their show is great no matter how many times I go; I echo how great this DUO is and how friendly they are to the fans after the show. Outstanding guys.
My grandpa worked construction and he drank beer all day. Even on the job. He never drank a drop of water.

Beers is 90 to 96 percent water so you might want to rethink that statement
Nice surf analogy...caught inside and getting hammered.
Carolla needs to get back to interviewing Penn more frequently. This is like interview 3 in maybe 10 years and they've covered the same topics every time because I assume they forgot they already talked about it last time.
Outstanding interview. It was 1:43 minutes and I was left wanting more.
What a great interview. Super interesting. I also couldn’t stop thinking Adam looked like real life version of Hank Hill.
The way Jillette described Teller is valuable to magic history and will be clipped endless times.

Fantastic show. Two of my favorites together again. Two highly intelligent people having a great conversation. Two different sides of the political spectrum and it’s perfect.

I grew up with Penn being one of literally maybe 3-4 openly libertarian people in any kind of media. Carolla slowly grew into a libertarian without ever knowing what that is. I used to listen to Penn's podcast weekly and I still have no idea what the hell happened.

@@promontorium what happened was the libertarian party got co opted by the alt right, pushing the more principled libertarians, like Penn, out.
Love Penn’s honest humility, his non-alcoholism, his politically-progressive atheism, and his eloquence in speaking.
Fascinating interview. Thank you.
Penn always has something interesting to share. I love that dude
Smart people talking - lovely !
Penn rules!!!! Always loved him & Teller.
Hell yeah
Two of the greatest examples of the gift of gab
Adam is an example for me how I'm not a fan of his politics but I like him and he's a great interviewer. Would be cool if more people could see people with multiple sides, complex not just like people in ur tribe.
Jillette the best a man can get.
Saw Penn and Teller at the Rio about 4 years ago. It was good, but as performers they kinda rush through the show. They have done it so many times? It felt like they got up on stage, and were rushing to get off. Enjoyed it, but it wasn't a peak event. Enjoyed much more of their televised work.
great one
The people commenting on this don’t understand how significant these two people are and that they’re captured together in a green room like this.
cool guys!!!!
Love it when Adam makes him laugh, it's cute
I just finished Penn's book " Presto" today... and........ I've written all through it ! A good fun book.
I've seen both a Copperfield show and a Pen and Teller show. I was fortunate to sit in the front row of each. Both shows are amazing but if you can only choose one pick the Penn & Teller show. Btw, Copperfield had a lot of audience plants.
AC was saying on eating potatoes, "your not loosing weight you're just getting dominion over yourself." That is exactly the point of "fasting" something many Christians do as part of practicing their faith.
I am so much enjoying this... not to give an answer to the questions, but I thought Mel Brooks was dead.
Just love these guys. I would say God bless, but based on their beliefs, universe bless.
1:02:34 Penn just needed to laugh for no apparent reason. Hahahahahaha
I've always SO enjoyed listening to this guy. I don't share many of his opinions or ideologies or political views, but I very much appreciate his candor and impressive intelligence and knowledge about so many things.
Great interview.
3:50 Think I had the same experience with Iron Maiden a couple years ago. Went with my uncle who adored them. Thought I'd go free ticket drink some booze maybe see some hot older ladies. Absolutely great show couldn't believe how good. Ghost opened for them was shocked new appreciation
I was 29 years old in 1991. 90s music is my favorite--alternative/grunge.
I was brought onstage at Penn & Teller's Off Broadway show about 40 years ago. They go way back.

Funny stuff Adam!
Penn sent a personal birthday message to my beautiful niece Halsey recently. Great man. ❤

If you’re a drinker 25:33 is good stuff to hear
An interview with Teller would be entertaining
Yeah get it on got to get it on
Me at the beginning of this episode: For a guy, Penn has the most amazing laugh I've ever heard. It's so infectious. Me about halfway through this episode: Oh my gosh, I can't handle his laugh anymore.
I powered thru this one. I was considering going to his show but I’m not so sure now. Adam was hilarious though.
1:03 . never heard Penn laugh harder! wow.
Things change, people might not change.
Penn Jillette is an American treasure

I was a fan of Penn for years, saw him in Vegas twice. Then he developed TDS, and now I wouldn't walk across the street to see him.

Hi
Hey Penn, the band's name is "Ramones" not "The Ramones".

Only thing I don't like is Penn's laugh, super annoying. Example - 1:02:37 I never realized how goofy his laugh is...very interesting guy he is, on the flip side.
And let's not forget buckwheat most child actor's are broken
Remains to be seen whether this new format works. I've always found the one-on-ones to be boring as hell. If that's a sign of things to come, then I think ACE's days as an entertainer are numbered.
