I caught a 6 pound bass yesterday on my Penn Fierce 3 4000. Just got her last week. This reel is insane, very solid and soooo smooth. Absolutely in love with it.

great vid. Sacrificing your legs for us lol. Big fan of the willet shirt too. I have 5 lol. can't beat the price!

Good price for what you get. I just got the 6000 live liner. Loving it got it for river and inshore. To one up my 4000 reels. For how I fish. Big baits for big fish. So far sand in it dunked it a few times rinsed it off no problems.

Does anybody know how to put the pivot arm back in one I can’t find anything to fit it back in or even know how.

Just purchased mine to pair up with my penn rampage bass rod bought the 6000 hopefully it's not an overkill for the 11foot6 rod use in the UK for bass

extremely light tackle any brand will do for panfishing

Is the fierce 4 better than the pursuit 4. Looking for a good beginner reel mainly for rivers, lake bank fishing and saltwater shore.

Just bought a Penn Fierce III 4000 yesterday, took it out to the beach and it is easily the HARDEST to reel out of all of the reels I own, and I own some that are 10+ years old ... apparently this is a common thing with the Fierce ... when reeling it almost feels like when you have a twist of line at the top of your rod, I found myself checking the tip of the rod all the time, because I was thinking there is no way this thing is this hard to reel ... but alas, it's just the reel ... for reference I was on the beach for 2hrs, I casted it maybe 30-40times and it never touched the beach or the water ....

Sometimes they are like that when you first purchase and they need a little use to break in- especially Penns. Best thing you to do is oil your reel too!

i have that reel and the handle came unloose. i had a bass on and started reeling in like normal and it unscrewed and isn’t screwing back in. just me? any ways to fix?

I think the 3000 is fine but I prefer light tackle. I’m using the 2500 for 30”+ snook

I don’t see why not. As long as your marching the size reel with the majority size fish you’re catching

My 2500 and 3000 are my favorite reels.

That’s the ugly stick intercostal. Was only using it for the sake of the video. I usually use tsunami, st.croix, and penn rods

@@Lake2Bay im currently using penn fierce 3 4000 reel with the penn rod it comes with in the combo. The rod is a bit big and hard to flick lures around a lot so im contemplating either getting a decent rod to pair with the reel or keep it as it is and buy a cheap light setup and a heavy setup for kingfish.

I bought mine for a steep $90 kind of regretting it now but amazon has it for 79.99 which is only $10 less. Still haven’t caught anything that big yet so cant tell you if it was worth it
