Hey, just wanted to share that I am free from my addiction of lust. I've made it to one week, for the first time in years all thanks to the Glory of God. God did all the work, but you guys are really doing great on this podcast, Alex you and your great analogies have helped me time and time again. Praise be to GOD! I share a similar story to yours with being addicted to drugs and alcohol, I have been clean and sober for 1 year and almost 6 months!!! I used to hang out with people in gangs, and almost became one of them. I was indulging in drugs that opened doors that should've been closed, I tried tarot cards, and was open to the enemy attacking me. Christ has set me free, its like a blurry lens was removed from my eyes, I see the people around me in a different way, I see the world in a different way, that there is hope and that hope is Christ Jesus. Christ has saved me time and time again from death, Thank you Lord Also thanks to you and Lokalani (sorry if spelled wrong) for creating this podcast, and continuously sharing the Great news of Jesus Christ, Wish the best to you all, and your little ones ❤❤

So good! Often times I too, am a peace faker in order to avoid confrontation and awkward moments. But like you said knowing that we belong to the Lord is the ultimate comfort we need in order to face our fears and become peacemakers. Thank you guys for what you do!

A way a brother from our small group put it: Jesus was a peacemaker, not a peacekeeper. A peacemaker has to be ready and willing to step into conflict, because peace has to be defended. A peacekeeper wants to avoid conflict at all cost - even if it means appeasing those who are trying to attack that peace.

Loved this! I will be a peace maker but not allowing arguments or snarky comments to cause distress between my sons mom and I, and to reconcile all argument attempts and be at peace with the truth and grace that God has given us.

Thank you for making this video, it really has made me question if i am a peacemaker or (new word!) "peacefaker"... I confess that I dislike conflict very much so, specially with people I love... Does that make sense??!! It has made me think and question as to why, and i realized that growing up, i witnessed some "conversations" I shouldn't have had because those transmitted lack of peace and... I guess whilst I did not understand a lot of things back then, now I know I am sole responsible of what I do and what I don't do in God's eyes, not people's... and that the past does not define me, God's word shows us what is best, His good plans. I loved how you mentioned the two ingredients GRACE and TRUTH to make peace... and yesterday I was actually reading about speaking truth in love, and when I looked up 1 Cor 13, it says how "love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth", therefore, speaking truth shows love...hahahah of course, we may get rejected, but love is in telling the truth, adding grace ... peacemaking ... not everyone wants peace, I guess that is the sad part we got to be open to get as a reaction. How will I be a peacemaker or peacebaker?? I will through not running away from conflict, but courageously and boldly, speak truth and grace with a generous sprinkle of love ❤ Thank you so much for sharing your experiences too and helping us understand what it means to be a peacemaker, a peacebaker! 🙂

How do I be a peacemaker in the college environment I am in? I don't say anything and I just ignore some people because I don't want any problem. Does that still count as being a peace faker? If so how do I fix that?

Hey Alex! I was having a Bible study with my friends and we were reading through 1st Samuel 17 about the story of David and Goliath. I brought up how you said Christians can't put ourselves in David's shoes because that story is about Jesus. Do you by chance know which podcast you spoke about that in?

Great episode this resonates with me I’m going through a situation where im being picked on because I stay to myself and don’t say much basically a pushover. I have been this way for a long time now people just take advantage of me because I’m quite and they know they won’t get a reaction out of me I tried to think of what Jesus would do but still couldn’t figure it out. I will tell myself it’s not a big deal people talk about others all the time so what makes me special. I’m still a little confused on what I should do but from this episode I think I should tell the people who are constantly picking on me how I feel without being a jerk so I won’t be a peacefaker Any advice is this what I should do? Thank you

What makes you special is that you're a child of God and that you are perfect without blemish in his eyes. It's okay that you're a quiet person, hey I am too. Most of the time I feel that I have to please the world by trying to be an extrovert which I am not and half the time it doesn't work out, it just results in socially awkward situations a lot of the time. I'm also one that doesn't like conflict but I know that I carry a lamp that people can see snd I have the discernment to see that a lot of them try to dim the lamp and a lot of times I suppress my emotions because a lot of people think that I'm supposed to just be a tuff guy and carry my weight. I do go to God but often times I try to get through these things myself. Regardless of that I just suggest that you stay in the word and take your whole heart to God leaving nothing out & he'll let you know what to do. I hope that you had a great day today, I love you & most importantly Jesus loves you❤️
