I paused the video to pray, but my menstrual cramps were really bad and it was distracting me. I heard Him say, "Do you want me to take them away?" A tiny bit of doubt came in but I said, "Yeah." And the pain stopped 🙌 He said, "I want to do the same for you." (Meaning have amazing encounters like the one Steffany described). Had to share that testimony, He is so good 🙌🙌🙌

Coming from a Baptist background, I don’t know any of these people or names mentioned. However, the authenticity and authority with which they speak drew me in because they radiate the Holy Spirit. Great conversation. I’ve been grieved about modern worship for over 15 years now and couldn’t put my finger on it. God is drawing us from all denominations to operate as one body that is set apart and led by ONE head, Christ. Beautiful to see.

seriously. denomination aside, I gave my life back 2 years ago unaware of any sort of denomination but it was like I was flying and running with Jesus. He was taking me DEEP into his presence and spirit and I had no education or back knowledge of it to give it language or even say this is “charismatic” but honestly I can care less. The Lord graced me with the intensity of who He is to just sit in His presence and BAWL at his feet. My heart breaks for religious people and denominations that bat eyes and fold their arms in offense at seeing and hearing the beautiful expression to JESUS! David says he will get more undignified than this!! It’s not about us or what we look like but get out of your head and urself y’all! Give him what he deserves and Go there with him! When we try to rationalize Jesus and his works into the human experience we completely miss him because he is fully human but fully God and there is nothing humanly normal about Jesus! His resurrection, life, death everything! There is no one like Him

She’s not negating that. She even said that those are really important songs. What she is saying is that it’s not wise to have worship with those songs with a congregation. Also, a lot of new “worship” songs (I’d categorize them as Christian and not worship - as to keep them separate) are exactly as you write. But worship songs are supposed to worship God and give Him praise. Not one’s personal story. Which is why she said the best thing for a worship leader to do is get out of the way - their pride, and arrogance and just worship God. Using the Bible and go back to the Bible when writing worship songs. That’s why there is all this stuff coming out about some writers for Bethel, Hillsong, etc.

@@dyanimoriah Sister in Christ ❤❤❤, just wondering though, what about the Book of Psalms? David writes a lot about life challenges and his struggles but of course he chooses to praise God through it all. Is this book not considered true worship because he mentions himself? Also, the Bible says we defeat the devil by the Blood of the Lamb & the Word of our Testimony. Our personal testimonies are so important, they glorify God! If someone writes a song about a personal struggle and overcoming it through Christ, I don't understand how we can say that is not worship? Perhaps we shouldn't lead a congregation with a personal song of victory but to say it's not true worship sounds a little extreme? 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ The person who wrote it could have done it with a pure heart. just trying to understand 😅

“not all songs are meant to be heard…what do You want Your people to sing to You?” as someone who loves writing songs for the Lord, there have been SO MANY moments where I wanted to turn everything into a song. I totally understand what steffany meant when she said this very thing loses the sacred nature of intimacy… I experienced the grief of it myself. as a songwriter, I also dream of having a platform someday. but when I heard that so many worship leaders don't even truly know the One they're singing to… that breaks my heart. but I have been so blessed and inspired by steffany, especially in the music aspect. just to see her heart in the right place and how she longs to remain in Jesus blesses me and reminds me of the Why. I looove this episode. so much humility and love for the Lord that could only be received in the secret place, in His Presence. God bless you both🤍✝️

I am glad I listened to this. I am 64 years old, and I have been blessed with by God with the privilege to sing for Him and serve at His altar. I have wondered in and out of that beautiful place of intimacy many times, but he has always welcome me back to that sweet place. The concepts concerning worship through music are something to which I can relate. He is teaching me to let go of the differences in theologies, and trappings of styles and ways of “showing off” for other people, and come simply to Him and sing my love to Him, whether I am “leading” a group of people, or singing to Him all alone. He has allowed me to sing to Him since I was very very young, and my hope is that He will allow me to continue this beautiful experience, even after my body is done, and my spirit rests in Him. Thanks for this talk. Sorry I misjudged you.

Steffany - thank you for being REAL. Bless you for speaking TRUTH in RIGHTEOUSNESS. Worship belongs to Him and must be centered, focused on Him. Always. It is so refreshing to listen to you, an end-time leader, who does not compromise. This generation must hear what it means to be set apart in holiness before the Lord. It's crucial.

55:00 About the entitlement vs. humility thing, Jesus Culture visited Finland in 2015 and it really struck me how they were just the worship team for the meeting. No pomp, no circumstance, not even anything like "Hello Helsinki, we're Jesus Culture!..." ... they didn't even introduce themselves, they simply did the work of a worship team. Wonderful humility!

I’m so glad I listened to this. I’m not a worship leader or in music at all. I’m only a worshipper, lover of Jesus, and a long distance admirer of Steffany and Will, Africa and Iris BUT…. As I listened, the glory of God filled my car and a hope and longing was redeposited as I listened to you remember the past together. Then, much confirmation even verbatim as I listened to Steffany continue to share her heart and wisdom. This was precious and holy. Thank you. 🤍
