After the Amen ; - What comes to mind for me and reminds me to stay humble/poor in spirit is actually one of His commandments - Love your neighbors as yourself, and Matthew 23:12 - Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted. These 2 things keep me humble because living as a Christian and a believer, we can always think that we’re better than others because we spend time in His word / go to church, etc. But remembering Jesus and His word, He gives us the tools necessary and renews our mind to stay humble, love others, and spread the good news. Loved this you guys! Stay blessed 🙏🏾

It hit me hard when you were talking about how we judge others around us asking “is that person my peer?” I just prayed right before this video for God to help me stop judging others so much, it’s such a struggle for me.

After the Amen: By giving gratitude, I still need Christ to keep my pride down. Jesus finished the work, not me. Only by Jesus's righteous am I saved, not my own. And to serve others more than my own. This was a great sermon, thank God for using you.

Amen, this was so beautiful. Being poor in spirit means being humble, it means realising that we are so spiritually needy and basically surrendering and being so spiritual vulnerable so that Christ can fill us. May God bless you family.

I can practice poverty in sprit by just realizing that all I need in life is honesty just Christ. Don’t get me wrong yeah clothes and buying stuff is cool and all but that only brings temporary happiness. We gotta realize that Christ is like an ever lasting water fall that always ensures to bring you joy ❤

Mahalo nui loa for this loving teaching lesson. It's funny how this poor man is prideful enough to even think that I could judge others with this rafter in my eye. Knowledge means nothing without the wisdom of his love.

After the Amen: The verse that comes to mind for me. As a reminder that I need Jesus to keep me humble/poor in spirit. Is Romans 3:10-12 when I think of these verses it reminds me. That when I’m treating others with kindness in spite how I’m feeling. That it’s not out of my will power but of The Holy Spirit! This and much more shows me, that The Holy Spirit is manifesting in us & how I need to always draw near to God. For even the simplest things like showing the act of kindness to others!!

You two are awesome! Great episode. Your message is right on time. Lately I see in everything how badly I need a saviour. Every day I mess up so bad. God has weighed so heavy on my heart lately and has shown me why he did what he did for us. And that we need him at every moment. And that we should give the same grace he gives to us to our peers. I got Covid and slipped a disc in my back all this past week. It has been hard but trusting God and giving God all the glory has been my portion. We serve such an amazingly awesome God. So if you could please keep me in your prayers. I need to get back to work and need some serious healing. Thank you for all you do in the name of Christ. I love you guys and all my brethren. God bless.💖🙏🙌🙌🙌😊

we need to continually grow . I heard a message today in church Luke 2:25 "51] And he went down with them and came to Nazareth, and was obedient to them; and his mother kept all these things in her heart. [52] And Jesus increased in wisdom and in stature, and in favor with God and man.":God as human(Jesus) continually grew in wisdom and ,if Jesus grew so should we every day we grow all of our lives and I think that is really humbling and reminds us that we need to want more and more of Jesus and as we grow our desire to be his servant should grow even more it's not a reason to be prideful but even more humble because it's all from God and for His glory.

Just so you know I have read a few decluttering pages and seen youtubers who have families talk about reducing gifts and excess clutter, many many parents who partake in this action for decluttering note how much more their children are to become appreciative and enjoy life moments over stuff. Whereas previously they could go someplace and are bogged down by things of this world. For your kids to get that they are not in need of things and they have those to take care of them is astounding. Pls don’t forget that.

I think to practice being poor in spirit, I have to look at my thought life when I see other people. Do I appreciate them? Or am I being too judgmental? Or am I criticizing them for who they are and their faults when i have faults myself? Thank you guys so much for the podcast, I will always tune in!

    - he sleeps w/the servants Bible says (2 Sam. 11:9) aka Uriah after the amen: reminding myself or Sometimes the Spirit reminds me like the importance of obeyence and I can't afford not to obey God but mainly honestly,is remembering everything (especially the cross) just for me,makes me like a whole different person inside and out. I know we must not judge others, but what happens to discernment when it comes to the kind of people you hang around. should I allow everyone with open harms, even if they are bad influence? can I not ask questions like is this person good for my walk with christ? i often ask myself this question especially cause I am in high school?
