Thankfully our Southern CA "storm" has so far been fairly gentle rain with pauses so we don't need to worry about a flooding street repeat. This kind of rain I can enjoy, and all of my plants love it.

You've certainly outdone yourself with this year's spring garden Liz - an explosion of color, art and a unique garden aesthetic, second to none:). It is a pleasure to take a virtual tour with you. Here all the trees are blooming or enjoying their incoming green finery. The old oak tree is going to make it another year, I'm particulary thankful for that. The birds are making a racket waayyy too early in the morning and I've discovered the biggest all black, roly-poly bumble bee I've ever encountered. It loves to visit the sky vine, practically disappears into the deep throat of the lavender-blue flowers. Spiders everywhere and an abundance of caterpillars all over. We've had perfect spring weather. I managed to clean up and freshen up both the Secret Garden and the Gazebo area so we can hang out there over Easter. Such a blessing to have a garden, we enjoyed a late brunch incl Papayas from the garden. Currently looking forward to the first blooms of the ginger-like tropical plant I planted two years ago. It has buds all over and is supposed to have a lovely scent - can't wait! Thanks for another lovely garden walk - HAPPY GARDENING!

The way you describe everything I can picture it. The birds, the big bumblebee how fun even though the birds are a little messy and loud.Hahaha for the very first time in my garden. I just discovered an orange hummingbird I believe it’s called a Rufus. I’ve never seen one like that before. I’ve been living in my house for seven years and this is the very first time an orange hummingbird came to visit. Your garden sounds absolutely lovely. Thanks for sharing your beautiful garden with us. We live in Southern California. Also in the rain is pouring down here also where I live. I was wanting to share more of my garden with everyone but the rain was just too hard all day.
